August 1, 200322 yr Hi everyone, I have been interested in the 737NG product since it was first announced on flightsim.com. The website offers great insight into the product but I want to know if there is more than on that website. I was wondering if I could get screenshots of the wingviews, can you actually see spoilers deploying and flaps extending ect. I was very dissapointed in DFs 737 wing view. Can you move your eyepoint around, like say i want to sit on a row above the engine or a row behind the wing so i can watch spoilers and flaps, do i have that freedom? Also, where are more liveries? The only one I saw was the Southwest with winglets, and southwest dosent even have that particular aircraft that im aware of. If I can get these screenshots and the old Southwest Airlines "coppertop livery" and an Alaska Airlines I will probally buy this add-on.Thanks, [email protected] or [email protected]
August 1, 200322 yr Hi Andy, check out www.precisionmanuals.com. As to your questions, the answer is 'yes' to both of them, as to the liveries, Alaska Airlines is already done, Southwest has the winglets version on order, but the livery can also be used with the non-winglet version. As to the 'coppertop' livery, I'm sure someone will do it, if PMDG doesn't...Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
August 1, 200322 yr Hi Andy,SWA will be retro-fitting winglets during scheduled maintenance over the next few years. Hope this helps.http://www.southwest.com/about_swa/press/0...d_winglets.html
August 1, 200322 yr Commercial Member Just want to say that knocking the DF737 is pretty unwarranted considering it was designed for FS2000 before there even was such a thing as "dynamic wing views"...Ryan Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
August 1, 200322 yr Commercial Member Andy-I expect to begin kicking liveries out by the bushel once we have the Service Update out the door.... In fact- if things go well- I'll start booting liveries out the very next day...Pete Sterling has painted nearly all the SWA liveries available on the NG.... Including the Canyon Blue Winglet that we have available already...So give us a few days- then come back and see us. We should have a nice copper top ready for you then! Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
August 1, 200322 yr Yeah - that struck me too... For it's time, the DF737 "wing view" was actually quite pioneering! Between the wing view, the "out the passenger cabin" views, and the "inside the cabin views", it was quite unique! That said, I TOO am looking for some impressions. While I do own the aircraft, I have transferred reg/uninstalled it in preparation for a reformat - but I am running FS9, and the panel is choppy as heck on it. Can FS2002 users comment on the smoothness of the displays, and the computer horsepower required to make it smooth? Thanks!-Greg
