August 4, 200322 yr Hi Bob,I'm having the same problem. As soon as I engage Autopilot with altitude hold the aircraft tilts up and down like a see-saw. No amount of trim or re-activating the AP fixes the problem. Forget the lifejacket, I want my sick bag ;-)Also, anyone notice the hole in the fuselage when in the cabin view (right side I think)?Love this plane though - amazing attention to detail and the VC is stunning. Great work PMDG.All the bestSteve WhitePS - I didn't get any errors installing the base or SU1 into FS2004. However, I never had the aircraft installed prior.
August 5, 200322 yr Same problem - are you using a Joystick axis for Trim?? I was and when I diabled it in FS, no further see-sawing. It seems that the Autopilot does not disable external elevator trim input and tries to compensate for it - hence the see-sawing. (At least that was the cause in my case.Pete :-)
August 5, 200322 yr hi pete...that sounds interesting... i am using a CH VIRTUAL PILOT... he also have a trim wheel... but i don t know where to disable it...how do you do disable the trim on your joystick ??? in the menue sensitivities ??greets klaus
August 5, 200322 yr may be, I'm wrong, but you don't need to disable the "trim wheel" of your yoke - it's nothing more than an offset to the y-axis. Just calibrate your yoke in Windows correctly and forget about this wheel. But another thing is important: if you switch off the a/p, first trim the a/c correctly (stable flight), before siwtching the a/p on again. Only this will stop the ups and downs - otherwise the a/p will handle the 'out-of-trim-flight' in the same way than before.HansJuergen
August 5, 200322 yr hi hans huergen...sound german :-)i tried this before, disable AP, triming and enable the AP. same shaking like before. i also trimed my bobby prior to take off. and otherwise what is that for an aircraft where you have during climb or cruise disengage AP and trim the aircraft ... hehehe...but i hope they will find the mistake soonaber danke trotzdem klaus
August 5, 200322 yr >hi hans huergen...>>sounds german>well - what should I say ? ... You got me ;) Good luck in identifying the problem - and always be sure, that your yoke is calibrated in FS9, too (not only in Windows)HansJuergen
August 5, 200322 yr Just for a testI redid everything....Ran the deleterReinstalled baseReinstalled SP1Rebootedturned off yoke - and still the same thing - cant be yoke noise - no yoke.Anyone have any other ideas?Richard GreenVATSIM Controller - former AF DRIVER and all around nice guy http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg
August 5, 200322 yr FYI - I just happened to REREAD the entire thread and then did notice something....Pete said his trim was real outta spec....So I went and looked and walla I was - to use an old AF expression "_ALLS to the WALL" Its not a PMDG bug its an OPERATOR BUG....But I hope in SR2A that this anomoly can be fixed, as in real aircraft a full axis AP will correct operator errors like this.Or at least give a trim stop warning.Richard GreenVATSIM Controller - former AF DRIVER and all around nice guy http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg
August 5, 200322 yr Ok I spoke to soon - back into my test flight....I hat tabed over to here to write my reoprt, I come back and my plane is doing its best impression of breakdancing. The Trim had again moved out of wack - no turbulance - the throttle and trim were dancing.Maybe there is more to this than I thought.Any thoughts Pete - Robert?Richard GreenVATSIM Controller - former AF DRIVER and all around nice guy http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg
August 5, 200322 yr OK - Problem resolved.....In your FSUIPC - turn OFF reverse rudder trim sense ( turned on by default )Solved the problem - After I did everything else ( including manual trim )Richard GreenVATSIM Controller - former AF DRIVER and all around nice guy http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg
August 5, 200322 yr yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...:-/that s the solution... i bring dawson into jail :-)move the cross from the reverser bla bla lalalalali got a stable flight now....you are the best mr greenklaus
August 5, 200322 yr Thank you Thank you,Unchecked reverse rudder trim in FSUIPC, That did the trick. Now it flys like a dream. Stops right at target Flight Level.
