Main gauges dissappear in VC

Featured Replies

When I go to VC panel, all main HSI EHI and PFD will not display. If I hit the popup for those, that works. Should I not be able to see those gauges in VC???Bill M

Hello! This could be caused by the lack of display memory on your card.

This is a common cause of the problem you are>describing.>>Vin>PMDG>www.precisionmanuals.com>>http://www.vinscimone.com/dancnkid.gifVin,I am experiencing the same thing, but my Performance options are set to..CPU Scheduling = ProgramsMEM USage = ProgramsVMEM = 1536MBAlso, my Video card is a Ti4600 with 128 MB Ram. I can not see that the Video card it the problem. I also run dual 20" CRTs of it and a second video card with a 15" CRT. My setup is...- Main 737 panel on Primary 20" CRT- FMX and Throttle and Radios are undocked on the secondary 20" CRT- Overhead panel is undock to the 15" CRTI hope this helps determine the lack of Glass display when in VC Mode. Oh, I have AMD 2100XP, 1 GB PC2100 RAM and Det 30.82 display drivers running under WinXP Pro.Thanks,Scott

Scott,Couple of things, firstly I have exactly the same problem as you and I have an almost identical set up, apart from differences in the size of the monitors and my machine is a P4 2.8. Second thing is a question to you if I may - do you have any issues with stuttering on your set up. I tend to run in windowed mode, if I go to full screen, for some reason my frame rates plummet. However in window mode, with panels set as yours are, I get a very brief pause/stutter in the sim on a regular basis, approx every 15 seconds. I know a number of people have reported this, I wondered if you were a sufferer.Bud

For what it's worth I am running:AMD XP2100 (1840MHz) MHz per WinXP OS)140MHz FSBASUS A7N8X DeluxeStay in touch with me as the sim develops.Scott

Scott,This is really very interesting. The one real difference in our set up is that you are AMD and I'm Pentium. Of the other folk who reported this issue - at least the ones I remember - all were Pent.Makes you wonder!Bud

Vin,My displays in the VC are completely black.Bud

I don't think setting my CPU priority is the problem. In fact setting it to cache will create more problems. ie textures not showing correctly. I have 128MB of vidiocard mem and 1gig of system mem. There's a problem displaying the gauges in VC. Sometimes 2 out of 3 will show and when I press popup the cockpit gauges disappear altogether.Bill M:*
