Hehe True CWS that must be some type of first! You know John they said it could not be done right in flight sim (and it is incredible feature) that IS done right! I cannot get enough of it's impact on flying this bird...[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/196432/winglets_lg.jpg

The CWS system is amazing. Kudos to PMDG for getting it done, and done right :)

Hi Randy,A couple more questions for you. First, will documentation be distributed with SU2 for the new features like CWS? I have no clue when it's proper to use a CWS mode. :) Also, is the OPT/MAX altitude in the SU2 FMC so we can do correct step climbs?-Shaun

Manuals are being prepared although I have no ETA, I will find out. Step climbs are not implemented that I am aware of. SU2 will NOT contain cost index, this will be a feature for the 800-900 phase. You can do CRZ climbs or CRZ DEScents tho that do the same thing. Anyways will a fully loaded bird I have no problem climbing directly to FL390....[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. This looks fantastic! Many thanks to the PMDG developers.I do have another question -- I notice the PMDG liveries are going to be updated for SU2. Will the contributed liveries still work? Will there be significant defects showing when the old liveries are displayed? Thanks -- Dick Bixler

The old liveries will work just fine, but users will be required to copy four very small files from the PMDG livery Texture folder into the contributed livery folders for everything to show up properly. No worries.. we will explain how to do it!VinPMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.vinscimone.com/dancnkid.gif

Hi RandyI have only one question: Is the altitude constraint possibility modeled now or is the plane still making a level off if you enter xxxxxA or xxxxxB? In my opinion that is the most unrealistic thing in the current version...I've gone through the list twice now but still cant't figure out if it will be available or not. I just have a bad feeling because in one of the previous posts they said something about doing it for the -800/-900 version...Thanks already for your answerMartin

I hate to confirm your thought but it is the case. I could go on here about workarounds etc but in the end I have to agree although I can fly as real as possible without it. I look at the things we do have though with a large grin, I mean CWS! Winds Aloft! Show me another that does it. Anyways it's coming, just not right now... [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Yeah I know you CAN get up high fully loaded. I always fly real time while tracking real SWA flights (using the real f/p of course) though, and I often see them start off at FL290 for longer ones, so I don't think it's REALISTIC to just struggle all the way up to a high altitude when heavy. :) This is only a guess of course, there could be other reasons for them filing FL290 initial.I wonder if maybe there is a way to use the AOA indicator on the PFD to figure out when to step up to the next avail. altitude? I've noticed that AOA ramps down as the aircraft burns fuel and gets lighter. Do you know if there is a specific AOA at which a 2000 or 4000 foot step will be apropriate?I have a COA 737 manual that I've been meaning to read too. Maybe it has some step climb weight or even AOA info.-Shaun

The list is impressive. But I haven't seen anything about programming the FMC in the air after restarting from a Crash To Desktop. Has that been fixed too? It is rather annoying having to restart a 5 hour flight after doing 4 hours of it already.
