November 20, 200322 yr Commercial Member Looks very nice Randy!Short question; Since one can change to the alternate blue digits on the MCP, is it now possible to have a blue background behind the digits as in the real airplane? Looks kinda odd, blue lettres on a redish background...Other than that the plane is really stunning!Best regards,Markus Markus Burkhard
November 20, 200322 yr Just so long as those of us whose eyes aren't as young as our hearts can still see the digits ... Paul Croft10 miles SE of EGLL Paul Croft 15 mls north of EGKK
November 20, 200322 yr Author Sorry you are mistaken, there are no BLUE digits on the Honeywell MCP (Only orange), that is only on the newest Collins MCPs which are much different than what we see here. November 20, 200322 yr Commercial Member Just that I understand you correctly, the PMDG's B737 simulates the Honeywell MCP only? So there are some differences to the one from Collins? If yes, why do we have the possibility to change the digit's colour? ;)Markus Markus Burkhard
November 20, 200322 yr Author Because PMDG were being NICE ;), the MCP background is much MUCH more complex to change that the digits. Here are the Honeywell and Collins.. Pay no attention to the BLACK backgrounds, you already know the true colors ;) http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/49339.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/49340.jpg[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. November 20, 200322 yr Looking very nice!I do note, however, that the MCP fonts are still different in the normal and lit versions (the horizontal split in the characters is missing in the night-lit version)?Compared to all the new stuff and functionality , that's just a small thing though.Best,Martijn
November 21, 200322 yr Commercial Member Thanks a ton Randy! I had no idea those two MCP had THAT many differences. One never stops to learn... Ok then I'll never switch my MCP digits to blue again :)By the way I like the Collins version better, looks more 777ish, more modern...Kind regards,Markus Markus Burkhard
November 21, 200322 yr Author It looks very much 777ish with pretty green lights on the buttons and that blue/white window-digits ;), the older one is way more common tho. [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/196432/winglets_lg.jpg Randy J Smith
