Excellent Job!! but I still run out of fuel ...

Featured Replies

Hey Guys,Great job!!! I just installed the SU-2. Worth the wait!!I am still having problems with the fuel management though. Regardless of settings, it only burns fuel from the center tank and shuts off with both wing tanks full. What am I doing wrong???FS2002, Windows 2000 ProThanks

IF you CHANGE the FUEL to 0 for the center tank (or any tank for that matter) while IN GAME (i.e. paused went to change fuel) it will do this, set the fuel prior to being IN GAME and you will not have this issue. If by chance you are doing it correctly then I will ask if you used the REMOVER TOOL prior to installing SU2?[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/betaimg.jpg

Ignacio-If you are using VERSION 1.2 released this week (okay, last week- but most of you couldn't GET it until this week! LOL!) then the problem you describe is most likely a menu driven issue:If you have the airplane set up to draw fuel from the Center Wing Tank, then you go into the menu system and set that fuel tank to 0, then re-enter the simulator- the engines will quit because MSFS has halted the fuel management logic we wrote while you were in the menu. It comes back to find the tanks empty and shuts off your engines for you!I'd recomend setting the fuel to a few hundred pounds at the least- then the airplane will switch tanks on its own while the sim is running...Conversely you can switch off the center fuel pumps (putting the airplane in Tank-To-Engine configuration) then empty the center tank via the menu...Hope that helps!(Somebody else should slap Randy for calling this a GAME too.... )RANDY: PHPHTPHTPHTPHTPHPHTPTHPTH!!!!!!
