January 18, 200422 yr Geez it is pretty but it disappears! My sys isn't too awful bad, but man this thing is good for about 3 view then off goes the fuselage or side VC textures. I tried increasing AGP aperture to 256, increasing Texture_Bandwidth to 1200, lowered autogen to dense (from max dense), and still the sucker's textures slip off after a few minutes. What can I do this is becoming unusable, and for $40, that is not good!Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. January 18, 200422 yr Looking at your PC specs, I have to say it's not your PC. Mine is a little less powerfull and don't have that problem. I don't have any suggestions as to what you can do, but I doubt it's your PC, something might be wrong with your installation???Mikkel
January 18, 200422 yr Commercial Member Typically, people who experience disappearing textures in MSFS have tweaked their CPU priority to prioritize cache instead of programs. Go to your control panel and do the following:Select systemAdvanced tabSettings button under performanceAdvanced tabUnder memory usage make sure programs is selectedback out and restart<>I see you also posted in the MSFS forum and are experiencing the same problem with default aircraft.Perhaps it wasn't the $40 you spent afterall?http://www.vinscimone.com/dancnkid.gifhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
January 18, 200422 yr Author It is pretty rare with default aircraft, but it does happen, though usually it will occur when taking a longer flight through complex scenery, then occasionally a super bright blue ground texture appears all over. The missing aircraft texture problem shows up by far the quickest with the new 737NG. In fact, with default planes, it is fairly rare and will usually occur only after trying to fly multiple flights without a reboot. It is as if the video card will not relinquish old data. WIth 737NG, I am unable to get the plane airborn with full textures most of the time. So, it is not quite the same problem, or at least not the same intensity of problem. And the fact is, this particular aircraft has become very much unuseable. The Meridian I have is much more picky in this regard than default, but not so bad as the 737 is. I'm hopeful this is a config problem, although many other folks are experiencing some degree of this, and from doing a search it appears BTW, I am using Win2000 Pro, and there is no "Memory Usage", however there is Application Response, which is set for Applications, vs Background Services.Cheers Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. January 19, 200422 yr hi,I have windows 2000 and have the same problems, They don't bother me too much for the most part and only seem to happen when I use the VC model or the VC and cabin model. They do get annoying sometimes. Must be a Windows 2000 problem.Andrew
