So what is THIS image? Is it? Is it? Nooooo......

Recommended Posts

Captains-The PMDG 737-800 has rolled out of production. It's simply not practical to place a coat of paint on the airplane in the PMDG production facility, so today was the day the airplane was officially moved off to "The Paint House."I thought you might enjoy a few pictures of the journey.....It is always important to be properly de-iced before departure. Heavy snow throughout the northeastern USA created a strong need for de-icing.... Remember to turn the PACKS off during de-icing, or your passengers will be coughing their lungs out as the fumes enter the cabin......http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/avsim/whatisit2.jpgWith almost no fuel required for the short flight, and no passenger or bag weight, it wasn't necessary to use the full length of the runway.....http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/avsim/whatisit4.jpgA nice view of the NEW panel artwork.... Marc has done a tremendous job updating the visual experience in the NG cockpit... Oh- are those new gauges too? hmmmm......http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/avsim/whatisit3.jpgA nice view of the gear retraction....http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/avsim/whatisit5.jpgClimbing into the clear. (Subtitled: The last thing the Canadian Goose saw....) You can clearly see the composite parts of the airframe in this image...http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/avsim/whatisit6.jpgAnd a nice above the cloud deck shot....http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/avsim/whatisit7.jpgMore to come....The 800 is being painted in it's rollout livery- and the 900 should come out of initial production shortly....Hope you enjoyed!

So here it isMy $1500 -800 ;-)Yeah I know PMDG won't be charging that much, but that includes the cost of a little Hardware upgrade, consisting of a new mainboard (Gigabyte GA-8KNXP), CPU (PIV 3.0/800HT), RAM (Corsair XMS TwinX-3200LL 1 GB), Graphics card (Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9800 pro 256, since the extra couple of frames of the XT can't justify the price jump), disks (2 x Samsung Spinpoint 200GB S-ATA, Raid 0 Stripe Array) and a DVD burner (Plextor PX-W708A) for good measure ;-)My present rig (Gigabyte MoBo, PIV 2.4, GeForce 4Ti-4400, 1GB PC2700 RAM, 360 GB HD (80, 2x80 RAID 0, 120) will be relegated to secondary dury, replacing my old AMD T-Bird 800.'Nuff rambling, I'm looking forward to the -800 as much as a kid to Christmas. And when the -800 finally lands on my harddisk, there's more looking forward - to the 744!Thanks in advance for more great PMDG products (and for giving me a good reason to upgrade my system)! See now that ain't fair...I want that plane so bad, especially after looking at that panel. It look like more of a photoreal panel, plus you made a new center bar in the window, finally. :)Those displays look soooo good...have you updated the displays in other ways than the layout information? Can't wait.../Mikkel
