cargo door and other exits

Featured Replies

Are there any other doors except the main entrance on the 737ng and if so can you open them????

You can open the rear PAX door and the Cargo door by using the 2nd exit function.. (Shift+S.. then 2).. I think thats what the default one is.Ryan

Well, opening the rear PAX door and the Cargo door using the keys is a bit tricky. That's why I made a gauge and placed it on the overhead panel. A problem is that I couldn't find a way to verify if the doors are open or closed so that the button could be lit where they are open.It looks more or less like this:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/66675.jpgGreetingsThomas

Hi Thomas,I've been looking for a solution to this for a while and the gauge that you've created looks great. If you can, would you mind e-mailing a copy to me? ThanksCharlie - KSJCe-mail: [email protected]

Hello Thomas and thanks for your idea. The key sequence is a bit difficult {I have never been able to make it work} so your gauge look really interesting. Would you mind emailing that to me [email protected]. and any instructions I think I might put it on the radio panelregards Rob

Charlie & Robert,I'm not sure about PMDG's copyrights. If anyone from PMDG tells me that it's O.K., I'll be pleased to send you the gauge with instructions.CheersThomas

I've beeen always looking for a solution for that problem and maybe thanks to you my search may be over.By the way Thomas is that just a light that tells us that the doors are open or does it actually open the doors if you press it?Thanks,David

David

Thomas et al,I have relayed this thread with a suggestion to implement this IMO pretty ingeniuos solution or something similar to the PMDG team. It's pretty late in the development but we'll see...Stay tuned,

David, when you press the button it lights up for some seconds and opens or closes the doors depending on the actual status. Then the light goes off. I tried do make it light on/light off depending on whether the doors are open or closed, but as I stated before I couldn't find a way to read the status of the cargo door (only for the main exit).Maybe the Gauges SDK will give me that information as soon as it's available.CheersThomas
