March 24, 200422 yr Dear Fellow 1900D Pilots,I have noticed that the NEW GREAT MODELED Beech 1900D has a lot of trouble getting setup on an ILS approach. I put her on a 25 mile final, with no wind, and she still didn't get lined up in time. Now, I fly these aircraft for a living, and I know they don't take this long to get set up on an approach. Get back to me please! Other than that, I love this aircraft! Is anyone else having this problem? And please get back to me.-Brett www.atlanticBlueairways.com
March 24, 200422 yr Why would you set up for an ILS in a Beech 1900D at 25 miles out, I think the farthers out an ILS would go in 20 miles that thats for Class B running alot of planes in and out. I've get the 1900D up for a 10-15 nm ILS and it works fine.
March 25, 200422 yr Because she doesn't get set up quick enough that close. I have to go out so far, up to 25nm, and she still wont get lined up.
March 25, 200422 yr "Because she doesn't get set up quick enough that close. I have to go out so far, up to 25nm, and she still wontt get lined up. "I'm still not understanding your problem. What do you mean by getting "set up" and "won't get lined up"? For an apparent real-world 1900 pilot, you're not explaining your problem very well. :-hmmm Eric
March 25, 200422 yr On an ILS Full Stop, the airplane does not line itself up on the localizer well enough. She takes toooooo long to get centered. Do you know what an ILS approach is? I'm saying when you put the approach button on.
March 25, 200422 yr How far off the runway heading is the plane travelling when you "put the approach button on"? 30-45 Degrees? 10 miles out, intercepting runway heading at about 45 degrees, it works perfectly for me... Is your problem specific for a given localizer, or all localizers that you've tried (how many have you tried)?A few more details, about the aproach problem and you (your full name is REQUIRED in this forum), and you might get some more helpful responses...Best,sg(Scott Gridley) [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
March 26, 200422 yr "Do you know what an ILS approach is?"Yes, I know what an ILS approach is. I fly for a living as well.:-roll Haven't had the problem since I hand-fly this one on approaches.Eric
March 26, 200422 yr It's my understanding that the ILS iscalibrated for accurate landing guidance up to about 10 n.m., but it can still be picked upand used as an approach aid at 50 plus n.m.Athlon XP 2800 (2250Mhz) OCd (2240Mhz)1Gb of 3200 SDRAMASUS KT400 WD Special Edition 80Gb (8meg cache)128Mb Nvidia 4200ti
March 26, 200422 yr Commercial Member Captains!I should have jumped in a little sooner here :-)We have discovered some issues with the PMDG Express B1900D having a little difficulty under certain circumstances with capturing the localiser. We have already remedied this problem in-house and are performing on going tests. We plan to release a Service Update for the B1900D at some point in the future, which will incorporate this fix, in addition to a handful of other fixes/performance enhancements. We have not yet set a release date. Thanks for your purchase! And thank you for your patience!VinPMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
