Fictional Chicago White Sox livery for 737-700

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. I've been lurking on these boards for a long time but have never had a need to post anything. I love the PMDG products. My first one was the 777 for the original Fly!. Here's one of the main things I use MSFS for (other than to practice holds and approaches to augment my real-life flying) - I play baseball on the computer as the Chicago White Sox (using High Heat or MVP baseball or whatever is the good baseball game that year), and play out the season in parallel with real life. I've done that since middle school I think. A couple years ago when I got the 777, I decided to use it to "fly" the team to and from all their away games. After all the hardest part for me in flight simulations was deciding where to fly to. Now I had somewhere to go. :) (although my wife says all this makes me a "huuge dork").The 737-NG is going to be my team's plane this year, since I'm back flying with Micrsoft for the first time since FS98. When I saw the paint kit I decided to see if I could give a try at making myself a White Sox repaint for the plane. Well after about 2 days and learning Photoshop from scratch I managed to come up with something that I think actually borders on impressive. I've decided to post a screen shot of it and see if anyone thinks I should put it up on the library (once it's back up). I know most people here are purists who only like to mimic the real airlines, but you never know if there's someone out there who's as big a dork as I am. :(Note: As this is my first time posting it may take me a couple tries to get the screen shot/attachment posted. Also if this post is off-topic in a support forum I apologize, but I did not see a forum dedicated to repaints.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/68771.jpg

Boy that looks great - please post it on Avsim when the library is back up!That's another good idea for the repainters - private liveries for sports teams. I'd love to see a red sox version.

Thanks for the compliments...Now that I know where to get the .eps files for all (I think all) the MLB teams' logos, it would probably not be too hard to just mimick this livery and just swap out the logos and the colors, except maybe for doing the antennas. Also does anyone know if this will be compatible with the -800/-900 upgrade? I'm guessing no, since I read in the OIC that there were some livery compatibility issues even between different service releases of the original -NG product.

Very nice Jeremy, I know I'm pushing it but can you do one of the Toronto "Blue Jays"?:-)David

David

A Toronto Blue Jays with the New Logog would be cool, But I'd be more partial t see a Toronto Maple Leaf's Jet :)

I'll second that Paul!!"Go, Leafs, go!"Mats Sundin for premiere! :-xxrotflmaoTGIF, :-beerchug

>Very nice Jeremy, I know I'm pushing it but can you do one of>the Toronto "Blue Jays"?:-)>>David Thanks for the flattery...I'm a little burned out right now from this experience...plus I'm waiting to see what compatibility will be like with the upgrade...but it shouldn't be too hard for me to eventually make a basic template in photoshop that will allow me to crank out a repaint in a couple hours. Not to mention opening day is coming up and I'm going to be pretty busy flying all over the place and playing baseball games! ;) If I get a chance though I'd love to do repaints of some different teams...I'm not much of an artist though so they would not be much more elaborate than N737WS. :)

You'll see what they're worth next friday! :-DCheers,

Question,Does anybody know how do TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS,BLUE JAYS, RAPTORS travel.Do they charter a private plane and what type of plane is it,or do they charter a plane from Air CanadaThanks,Nebojsa

I know that Air Canada Used to have a Raptor's Painted Livery, not sure if it's still around or not.
