Could someone from PMDG please respond to the broken radio questions?

There are several posts that sometimes you cant use the radios. The buttons wont move and you can transmit. Ive done one real flight, and doing another right now, both times radios didn't work after a while into the flight. Also, during my first flights approach, I couldn't lower the gear. Please respond. Thanks

I was in the 2d panel. I was running the load manager, activesky 2k4, the fuel planner, and thats it. I was in the default panel mode, I was messing with the menus, switching panel styles etc, so I think that might cause problems.

ALex, We are expecting something! Unless we are gods (no comment) ;-). If there is an issue it will be FIXED. So please test this and comeup with a way for us to simulate this to nail this potential issue down. Thank you.[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. I'm having the broken radio too. Of course there are going to be problems at first release. Other than the radio problem, it looks really good. Here's what I did:KBGR -> BAF -> KBWI 37000ftJust *at* the first approach clearance to BWI is when my radios quit. The transponder still worked though, and I set it to 7600. Here's what I tried to do to fix it:1. Flipped radios on and off, using the radio panel and FS keys.2. Pressed the master avionics switch many times, testing the radios each time.3. Minimized the sim, and brought it back up. (this has fixed problems before strangly enough)finally I just landed the thing visually. Made for an interesting flight.I'm XP SP2, FS2004, no addons - just MSFS and the 737. 1 GB mem, 250 GB drive ATI 9700 pro, Saitek joystick thing.1600 x 1200 4xAA 16XAFI will try and fly another test tonight. I was thinking of the "electric_always_available=1" Plus I heard someone say to reload the plane just after starting the flight.I will try these. Perhaps an anchored thread for radio testing is necessary? Thanks guys!Tim Dobrowolsky

This sounds like the MSFS dead battery problem resurrecting itself again. The full version of FSUIPC has an option in the technical tab to extend batt life...recommend you check the setting (or get the full version if you don't already have it).RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Washington, D.C.

Ok, I did the re-select aircraft and electric_always_on=1. This time the radios worked fine. Unfortunately, this does not mean much because I have to reverse the settings and see if I can get the dead radios back again. Of course, if anyone else wants to try these changes....Also, my 737 CLIMBED to intercept glideslope. I wouldn't think that's the way it's suppose to work....Tim Dobrowolsky
