All of this saying about the 747,,,

Why don't you guys give it a break?Every two days somebody posts a new message asking "when is it coming out?"Now if just could stop, probably PMDG could focus more on programming your beloved 747 and maybe some other 737 tricks&fix...'Cause you ain't leave the 737 behind your shoulder, are you?:)

Although I do not practice the art of continually asking for updates on upcomming products, I fail to see how doing so will hamper development of the 747. Take a look at how many of these posts have been answered by PMDG team members. And in the few posts that have been answered, how much time has been spent by said team member in writing the one or two sentences?I personally think that the the claim that posts on the forums asking about the 747 are hampering its development is a pile of bull. In the first place I can't possibly visualise a team member having his C++ or Vbasic or whatever screen up programming away, in one window, and in the other window an IE window logged into the forum. If any team member visits the forum, it will be when he decides to take a break from all the coding, or repainting, or whatever. So, if people want to ask about updates then I say let them ask away. Someone may or may not answer....either way, it won't take precious time away from actual development. And as has been proven before, it won't change the schedule for release. PMDG for one knows the importance of releasing a product when it's ready and not because of pressure from customers.I will go so far as to suggest (my opinion) that the PMDG team views the occasional posts asking for updates on the 747 with lots of pride and smiles since it proves that they do have an eager group of customers waiting for its release. Look at the humourous post made by one team member when he posted a small picture of a single wheel in response to one such post.....and I'm sure he wasn't coding at that particular time.....he must have been on a break. So as long as such threads crop up once in a while ........even once a week.....I don't see the harm.....and I really can't see how its slowing down development.Like I said, I will not do it myself, but if someone want's to do so, then he should be allowed to, without fear of beeing shot down by self appointed forum cops.Off to the 737-800 now. :)

>If any team member visits the>forum, it will be when he decides to take a break from all the>coding, or repainting, or whatever.Maybe you too can use a break from the boring seriousness of airline flying?Mine was irony :-roll

Yep, agree totally. For one, I don't know how many times I have seen these kinds of questions about release dates devolve into other conversations which end up being quite interesting. As long as someone is not doing the whole "I demand as a customer to be told when and where this thing will be", I don't see what the problem is.Besides the forum topic usually gives away what its about, so don't read it :)Simon Rigby

I think the part that is bothering most people on the forum is that every second post seems to be relating to when the B747 will be released. It does get a bit annoying since most are looking and talking about the NG737.. Not much can be said for the B747 until PMDG have released more information.I think the developers of addons make the mistake of saying that they are making a new aircraft. If they just didnt say anything about programs in development, no one would have to ask anything. Then everyone will get a huge surprise when a developer releases an aircraft. If that makes any sense.

They don't have the runtime library!:-hah CheersThomasEdit: I agree that people should be a bit more patient.

I thought most people on this forum would have understood by now that PMDG does not say anything about release dates. But it seems difficult to apprehend for some...pitty
