July 19, 200421 yr Maybe I missed it in the docs, but I just upgraded to the 800/900 version of the software and I am unable to arm the spoilers using the traditional "Shift+/" command. Additionally, after I armed the spoilers by clicking on the spoiler lever, they did not deploy upon landing. Any ideas guys??Thanks!!!FlyBoy Phil
July 19, 200421 yr you have to use the mouse and move the leveler in position. sorry no other way to arm so that spoilers autodeploy X-Plane 11.3x / DCS 2.5.4 / P3Dv4.5 / Aerofly FS 2 Win10-x64 | ASUS Z270E | Intel i7-7700K @4.5GHz | Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB DDR4 | 6TB SSD Samsung 850 Pro | ASUS GTX 1080 ROG STRIX 8GB DDR5X | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Combat Pedals | Oculus Rift CV1
July 19, 200421 yr Author Why is that?? Is there a conflict with some other key assignment?? Can the "Arm spoliers" function be mapped to another key assignment other that "Shift + /" that does not cause a conflict within the program??PhilFlyBoy Phil
July 19, 200421 yr No sorry it is just the way it is. You must arm manually (hey like real life though ;-)) through the throttle quadrant. One note here, if you have ARMed the spoilers and needed to deploy them using the SHIFT + routine, this will place them back into the prior posistion (in this case they were ARMed)..So you set ARM manuallyyou hit / to help slowyou hit SHIFT / to place prior *state* of spoilersBest Wishes,[h4]Randy J. July 19, 200421 yr You must also remember that they will only deploy if your throttles are idle on landing. July 20, 200421 yr I can't understand why people has so much problems with speedbrakes. Or I must be the single guy who never had any problems with deploying/arming/retracting speedbrakes.I assigned two joystick button for spoilers, never touch the keyboradr or throttle panel to operate them.Button A for speedbrakes deploy/retract Button B for speedbrakes arm/disarmIf I need speedbrakes in descend I use button A for deploying and Button B for retracting them. I don't care speedbrake lever to stuck at "arm" detend instead of going back to "up" detend because I'm going to arm it anyway. After landing a small forward thrust lever movement will retract speedbrakes automatically as it does in real life.
