August 23, 200421 yr Did you place the rxpjetline2.ini file into the Aircraft/PMDG Express B1900D folder? Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
August 23, 200421 yr Commercial Member Captains,If you go to http://www.precisionmanuals.com, click on the "Downloads" tab, and then on "Misc Files", you will find the Reality-XP configuration files there. There is a Readme included in the zipped archive of reality-xp configuration files.Read it carefully, follow it step by step. You should be set up in no time.Best,Vin ScimonePMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
August 23, 200421 yr well i have followed the suggestions above and i still am not able to place the guages in the 1900d. the guages are in the king air 350 and they work fine but the PMDG is a losing cause. three days and too many hours spent messing with this problem. thanks for your help. i will continue to enjoy the 1900d with the original panel. jack
August 24, 200421 yr Jack,Its very easy to install. Simply download the zip file from our website, unzip the files, make sure you're using 'Use Folder Names'. This will create some new folders in your PMDG B1900D folder. Simply copy over the panel.cfg for the gauges you've purchased and replace the current one. August 24, 200421 yr thanks for the suggestion, i did what you said but i guess i am not finding the correct panel files. i have created so many unzips and duplicates in this quest to download a jet2 guage that the whole mess is a confusing hodgepodge. i have a long flight tomorrow so i had better get some sleep tonight. maybe i can find a teenager in the lounge that will help me through this maze of download neverland. it sure makes real flying look awfully simple. jack wilson
August 24, 200421 yr Commercial Member I'm not really clear what type of problem you are having.Do this:1) Install the PMDG Express B1900D2) Install the Service Update to the B1900D (available at www.precisionmanuals.com in the "Download" section)3) Copy the appropriate reality-xp configuration files into the appropriate "panel" folder, as described in the readme I mentioned above.Best,Vin ScimonePMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
August 25, 200421 yr hello Vin Scimone, thanks for the reply. i just returned from a flight and tried your suggestion; it didn't help. i then deleted all pmdg files, aircraft and the xp-guage files from my computer. i then made a clean sweep before following the instructions for re-installing pmdg b1900d, associated files, the config. file for guages and finally jetline 2 guages. same results = the king air 350 has the guages and the b1900d has only the default panel. i am happy with the b1900d and with the help from pmdg. i will just leave it there and mark the reality-jet2 people and their download to experience. jack wilson
August 25, 200421 yr Sorry for jumping in, but this is a solvable problem...Get your teenager, or retrace your steps, but this is no magic..and certainly no need to throw up your hands. :-)In the PMDG b1900 file folder, located in the Aircraft folder of FS9,you'll find a panel file folder. In this file folder is a file called "panel.cfg".You can open it up with a Notepad, it is a text file. This file describes the panel layout and all the gauges.Have a look... in the Window00 section, you should have something like:gauge22=RealityXP_JetLine2!EADI, 494,453,181,174gauge23=RealityXP_JetLine2!EHSI, 494,630,181,176If not.. you have not placed the correct panel.cfg file into the folder. If you have:gauge22=KingAir!Attitude, 494,451,181,174gauge23=KingAir!Hsi, 496,630,179,176you get the original gauges...A simple first fix is to replace these two lines, save with Notepadand you have at least got the XP gauges in the main cockpit panel.Better still, locate the panel.cfg file that has the correct definitions and you'll also have the XP gauges in the Virtual Cockpit panel. Stick with it!! It makes a big difference!! Bert
August 25, 200421 yr Commercial Member Captains,First, I owe everyone who has been pulling their hair out over these configuration files an apology. The file that was initially uploaded had a corrupt readme.txt file.I was beginning to think people in this forum were losing it.. :-lolOK, so that said, a new file has been uploaded to the PMDG file library.A direct link to that file is here:http://www.precisionmanuals.com/downloads/...g.asp?iFile=334Download this file and follow the new (and now complete) instructions. If you continue to have any difficulty, please don't hesitate to post here.Best,Vin ScimonePMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
August 25, 200421 yr I have downloaded the Reality XP Jet2 guage set for the PMDG B1900d. I also have the configuration file download for the guages. When I start FS9 I have the guages in the king air 350 but I don't have them in the 1900d, just the default PMDG panel. I have tried moving files but I am probably missing a step or two in the process. Should I start over with new downloads or is this just a matter of locating and moving files? I am new to this download process and I will appreciate any help. I think the PMDG B1900d is a great addon and I have really enjoyed flying it in sim flight. Jack Wilson 23august04
