744 Cockpit Animation Features!

Featured Replies

I was just reading the feature list over again and really thought how good this feature could be. Can anyone give me exact details about it? Will it be airline specific? That could be very good!P.S - Marc did you get my e-mail earlier? Thanks,

Hi Alex,Our intention is to have certain parts of the VC animated, and other parts dynamic (sometimes they will be there, sometimes they won't).No immediate plans for airline-specific options in the VC (you'd be suprised how many cockpit options there are.) Currently, the VC is a "hybrid" of many airlines.Best,Vin ScimonePMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg

This leads me to another question, I have not seen a "good answer" yet..- How about different engines types (RR, GE, PW) and the associated difference in the cockpit ? Will you take this into consideration ?Cheers,Norbert - CLX001CEA Virtual Cargoluxwww.virtualcargolux.orgpmdg_banner.gif

Yes, as indicated on our product page - all three engine variants will be correctly modeled.

>- How about different engines types (RR, GE, PW) and the>associated difference in the cockpit ?fogive me for my lack of 744 knowledge .. lol .. but what are the specific differences in the cockpit with each of the engine variants?

The main difference is the EICAS indications. Each engine has a different setup which is reflected by the varying indications. Also, one variant lacks the autostart function. Other than that, everything is pretty much same.

Just curiours.. what sort of options do Airlines have with the B747-400 series? I havent really noticed any difference in the photos I have seen.

Cheers,
Ryan
