Next in the Express Series?

Featured Replies

Are there any more aircraft planned for the express series? It would be nice to see a few more regional prop or jet aircraft in the series.

An ERJ 154 would be cool so would a EMB-120 brasilia but the B 1900 is just like the brasilia so the ERJ would be cooltyler

>An ERJ 154 would be cool so would a EMB-120 brasilia but the>B 1900 is just like the brasilia so the ERJ would be coolThe ERJ wouldn't fit in the "Express" product line at all, as they have complex avionics like dual FMC, full EICAS and stuff like that...There is an ERJ in the works anyway, have a look here: http://www.iemit.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1107Best regards,Markus

perhaps a turboprop like the new Saab 2000, rode in one a few weeks back here in the UK & its gorgeous, really quiet!or perhaps something slightly older like a Dash-7???the Saab 2000 would be great though!

>the Saab 2000 would be great though!Same "problem" here: The Saab 2000 is much to complex for an Express product. It has its FMS as well, and EICAS and even a Head-up-display for CAT3 landings. In short, one of the most modern regional turboprops around...Oh and BTW, there will be a fully-featured Saab 2000 coming for MSFS in the future, but I can't tell you more at this time...Regards,Markus

How about a Dornier 328-100 or a Shorts 360 or Shorts Skyvan (man they are ugly)?

What about a BAe ATP? Or Jetsream 32/41?Matthew Murray,[bR]British Airways Maintainence Glasgow.

There is a "retro" mood in the country now. How about applying the superb PMDG skills toward the creation of an Express version of one of the classic 4-engine Douglas successors to the DC-3-----(DC-4; DC-6; DC-7)?What might lead to even more sales would be to create and offer it with the option of buying it with EITHER or BOTH the Express and Complex panel. Of course, the Complex version would justify a higher price, to reflect the additional time spent in its development. There are a lot of us out here who really don't want to spend an hour flipping 200 switches in a pre-flight; however, if both versions were offered in an optional package, it might sell (even to me).Anthony

How about something that no-one else seems to have done, the Lockheed L188 ELectra, there are only a couple of freeware models and no payware of this fine venerable aircraft and it is a steam driven and basic as they come but as swift as a jet and versatile as a turboprop, loved by all that have flown her and most that lay eyes on her, you can't beat those 4 alison turboprops churning the night air on a nice short cargo run.... If you need any help on picies and specs etc my current airline was flying up to 6 of these up till 18 months ago and many of my colleagues came off this fleet! RegardsKris

I think a Jetstream 35 would be fantastic. They are actually more complicated than you would think though, They have the same systems as a Bae 146, just for 2 engines instead. The pilot of one I talked to said they are insanely over engineered. However just because the real plane has all sorts of systems, doesn't mean we need them all in the aircraft, that would defeat the whole purpose of "Express"Actually on that note, I would absolutely love to have a simplified Dash 8 with the same quality sounds and exterior model as the 1900, but a simple panel without an FMS or all the systems.

Beechcraft Starship is another good candidate.

OOOooooo! Good idea ... I'd buy a Starship in an instant.
