September 8, 200421 yr Friends - I have to admit I was slightly annoyed that I should have to purchase an add-on to 7376/7 in order to enable what was marketed functionality. I'm not having a go, it might well be what my local supplier had on their site, so no offence meant to PMDG or Precision Manuals. That being said, does it actually offer much functionality over and above seeing my scenery as a PAX?Thanks in adance - CHardy
September 8, 200421 yr can't you asign the keyboard to move around the cockpit, i can't remeber the keys to use but it can be done as i remeber using it to move into the rear seat in the Mentor before i got active cam.
September 8, 200421 yr Chardy,Unless you have a system that is capable to display the virtual cabin smooth enough to be enjoyable it is not necessary to have this utility. On the other hand it is a very neat tool indeed, you can use it for many more things than just walking around in the cabin. Just to mention fly by view, walking around the aircraft on the tarmac, head latency in the virtual cockpit etc. etc. I guess that PMDG has included support for this tool because many simmers own it. It is however your choice to purchase it or not. The 737NG is fully enjoyable without AC2004.Just my 2 cents..Cheers, Balint Nagy
September 8, 200421 yr Thanks for the info - however I get full support for flyby-views out of the box of FS9, and the usual spot plane etc. Many thanks for your post, Cheers, Chardy
September 8, 200421 yr You can customise and make your own permanent fixed views by modifying panel.cfg file per aircraft type. These particular views are of the wings, which I got off avsim.com, but essentially you can put any fixed view you want, and assign keyboard or joystick commands to access it.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/90598.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/90599.jpgMake sure to backup your panel.cfg before attempting any modifications.Armen L Cholakianwww.veryquiet.com Armen L CholakianPMDG Sound Engineer
September 11, 200421 yr Armin - many thanks. I guess I could use it to replicate some of the onboard cameras on modern airliners these days. We flew on one of Lauda's 777's a year or so ago (in fact a few times - doing far too much business travel!!) and they have both a fin camera and a "look down" camera.Once again, many thanks, Chardy in Oz
September 11, 200421 yr Active Camera is a GREAT tool and not just for PMDG's ng. You can hold down your middle mouse and pan freely and zoom in the virtual cockpit, don't know what other tool does that..Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. September 12, 200421 yr Randy, I have never used it, I know is quite good, but let me ask you a question: does AC suck processor power in a significant way in your PC?Thanks in advance.
