September 9, 200421 yr I have yet to see anyone come out with a 757, wich is an outstanding aircraft and deserves the PMDG touch.
September 10, 200421 yr I agree! I love flying Boeing a/c. I'd love to see a great 757 or 767 done by PMDG(we all know that these would be awesomely done). With them working on the 744, it might be awhile, but just a thought.P.S. I love a MD80/90 someday too! Dana.
September 10, 200421 yr Would there be all that much difference between the 73 and the 75? I mean there is a world of difference between the 73 and 74, but, surely the 75 would just be like flying a larger 73?
September 10, 200421 yr Who knows maybe Wade and Team will have something with the new PIC that deals with a 757 config? I too would love to see a 757 by PMDG but PIC 767 is too close to bother IMO.Best Wishes,
Randy J. Smith
http://www.rawbw.com/~bdoolin/shinault/Animation1.gifCaution! September 10, 200421 yr Would there be all that much difference between the 73 and the 75?You're joking, are you not? :-lol The only similarity is they're both twins, and well, the fact that they're Boeings. But panel-wise, and ESPECIALLY performance-wise, they're 2 entirely different things.I agree with Randy that PIC should fill the gap.Daniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpgMember of SJU Photography. September 10, 200421 yr Joking ?Entirely different twins both in performance and panels !The 757 is even a "heavy" regarding wake classification !

As far as flying, if I can remember from a few years ago, the 767 was a bit slower in control response.
September 10, 200421 yr Hmmm, I fought that the 767-400 had a slightly different cockpit than the -300, ie different layout / displays...?

Some of the switches and displays are in slightly different locations , but in general, everything is pretty similar. Bob

The FMC's are different for instance. (Pegasus vs. Honywell/Smiths) Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
September 11, 200421 yr I've flown the 767-400 Sim and the panel isn't all that different than the PMDG as far as functionality. As far as flying, if I can remember from a few years ago, the 767 was a bit slower in control response.Ummm, the panel is different. As mentioned earlier, the FMC is different too. As far as comparing a 764 panel to that of a 737 (or that of a 757), they're different too. The 767-400 uses a 777-style cockpit, the 757 doesn't (even though I do believe retrofitting is available). Don't even start comparing a 767 performance-wise to a 757 either, because one is a widebody, the other is not. Having flown on 757's a lot (and being a big fan), I can tell you that it doesn't quite fit into the category a 737 fits into. That's like saying a 767 and a 777 are the same thing because they're both widebodies and twins.Daniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpgMember of SJU Photography. September 11, 200421 yr "The 767-400 uses a 777-style cockpit, the 757 doesn't " I don't know about the -400, but I know the -200 and -300 have the exact same cockpit as the 757, in fact in that article at fs.com, the 767 pilot is describing the 757 and 767 panels, and he said that even he, as a 767 captain, notices no difference between the 757 and 767 cockpits except in the 757 you step down to get into the cockpit, while in the 767, you step up.
September 11, 200421 yr ^ Correct, but I specified -400 for that very reason. However, I do believe the 767's can be retrofitted with hybrid cockpits if desired.
