September 11, 200421 yr Never never happened to me.All "seconday" panels are on top of the main panel.Always.Can't say why you have this problem.
September 11, 200421 yr Don't use the Shift+2, Shift+3 etc. commands, use the handy dandy panel switcher. :-) Dan
September 11, 200421 yr >Never never happened to me.>All "seconday" panels are on top of the main panel.>Always.>Can't say why you have this problem.Hi,Are you selecting the FMC/Radio/Throttle panel from the approach view and not the main view?I do use the panel switchers, very convenient, and all is fine in the main view but not landing/approach.Paul
September 11, 200421 yr Or assign shortcuts in the PMDG menu to the panel switcher, like I did.I assigned Shift+1 through 9... for MZALFOTRC and I switch through panels easily.
September 11, 200421 yr I have tried all that has been suggested and nothing works. Does anyone else have the same problem? Is there anyway to just make the FMC and throttle windows on the "top layer?" (if you know what I mean.)Thanks
September 11, 200421 yr Reinstall PMDG. Use PMDG 737 removal tool.I'm on this board already for a long time, and I never saw someone reporting even a similar problem. But I believe I saw it once happen on my PC when I was opening PMDG windows using VIEW menu in FS, instead of using MZALFOTRC keys.Either assign shortcuts to the PMDG (in PMDG menu, NOT assignments of FS) or push the buttons manually with the mouse on the PMDG panel. It simply works.
September 11, 200421 yr I also have the same problem, that is if in approach and landing view I pull up the throttle or radio using the MZALFOTRC keys, I get them appearing behind the panel. Someone from PMDG or was it Randy (?) said it was a memory problem within msfs and that nothing can be done about it. I really don't care since I anyway use to bring them up on the second monitor and therefore don't have to deal with it. Anyway, you are not alone! :) Krister LindénEFMA, Finland------------------
September 12, 200421 yr Commercial Member Gents-this is an MSFS "feature". Whichever panel is loaded last comes "on top" of all other panels. As such, I've programmed the system to "pre-load" the Main and Zoom panels, for easy use by all. This, however, has an unwanted side-effect: Memory used by the panels is not released when the panel is removed from view, so if I did that for all 4 panel modes, you'd end up needing a half Gigabyte just for those panels. (Don't ask why MSFS takes so much memory for panels). There's a nice workaround for everyone who's interested in this: At the start of your flight, before you bring up the throttle/CDU or whatever panel, click the Approach or Landing panels and close them back down. Then, you'll be able to use them normally.Best, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
September 12, 200421 yr Doesn't work for me either!I have MSFS CoF and all the PMDG 737's with the latest patch. Krister LindénEFMA, Finland------------------
