September 26, 200421 yr Whether realistic or not, I think it would be advantageous to allow for importing of MS flight plans, as best as possible, into the FMC.Waldo
September 26, 200421 yr Absolutely this is very nessesary, infact it has been suggested to PMDG on numerous occasions no more .PLN to .RTE drag and drop nonsense Infact an export back to the fs flight planner would also be a good idea.kavan
September 26, 200421 yr Gents,Some personal thoughts here.I think there's a problem with having the FMC import/export flightplans to the FS flight plan format. The FS format is so much simpler compared to the data you would need in the FMC so either way you port it you will loose a lot of data. If memory serves me right I don't think airways are storedEven a convertion utility will not catch all the data. Personally I never use the FS flight plans for loading the FMC. I either punch it in myself. It doesn't take that long as long as you use airways. Or use FSBuild to create my flight plans. Just my two canadian cents, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
September 26, 200421 yr pln format supports airwayswaypoint.2=LP, NARTA, , NARTA, I, N36* 3.41', W12* 33.49', +000000.00, UN975I think that it doesn't support altitude/speed for each waypoint. Anyway I don't use it. FSBuild is what I also use.Jos
