November 4, 200421 yr Hi all,How about adding 737-400 to your fleet for next project????Please post here if you want 737-400 from PMDGBurakhttp://www.flythy.com/images/banner.jpg
November 4, 200421 yr Not really. Dreamfleet are in the process of making both -200 and -400 for fs2004 i believe :-) Brent Lewis
November 4, 200421 yr God no.. not more 737s to paint :-lol Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
November 4, 200421 yr Speaking of which, John.............., :-)Would you consider doing an Aer Lingus livery for the 737-700?They do not fly the NG, but I wouldn't worry about that! I prefer the old style green and white scheme, rather than the dotcom version.Currently, there is no Aer Lingus livery for any of the PMDG 737NG series. Danowat did a number of the dotcom paint scheme, but I don't think he's made them available?BR,Frank
November 4, 200421 yr Sorry mate.. I don't plan on plan on starting any more 737s paints for the time being. Too busy.Dans site is www.flightsin.com they may be on there? Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
November 5, 200421 yr What I did (for my personal use) was merging the FFX 737 Classics with the PMDG NG panel.I have amended the panel bitmaps and changed some gauges.I got the the PFD, the ND and the FMC working. However I'm not sure yet, if the FMC calculates VNAV path etc. correctly (performance specs of the Classics off course differ from the NGs).The only really annoying thing at the moment is a "CoG Outside Range" message on the screen upon start up, but which dissappears after a few minutes.Maybe I will ask PMDG for permission to upload the merge after these minor problems are sorted out. I think PMDG should have nothing against it, bacause the purchase of their 737NG package is needed for the merge. Off course PMDG won't officially support this merge. This merge will not be perfect, but definitely an improvement for FFX users.Wolfgang
November 5, 200421 yr Sure, John, I understand completely. Thanks for the pointer to Dan's site.BR,Frank
November 5, 200421 yr Hi again John,Just checked Danowat's site, and there is an Aer Lingus repaint for the 800 series. Can that be used on the 700? Do I need to make any changes? Thanks,Frank
November 5, 200421 yr The 800 fuse is obviously longer, and on the PMDG model it is split up into two sections. While on the 700, the fuse is in one section and is shorter. Not sure how you could put an 800 texture on a 700.
November 5, 200421 yr Dreamfleet are doing the 737-200/300/400/500.....CheersJohan "Whats VNAV?!?!" Adolfsson
November 6, 200421 yr Hi Frank,If your looking for a repaint of the pmdg 737-700 specifically in Aer Lingus "ordinary" livery(not the .com livery) - it's on avsim file library. "Aer Lingus B737-500 Registration EI-CDG Textures only for PMDG"-"http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=46776" ,repainted by Niall O'Reilly. For some reason it's hard to find on a search of the avsim library because it took a while for me to find it. But (imho) was well worth the wait!hope you enjoy it.Patrick Roe
November 8, 200421 yr Hi Patrick,Yes, I remember that one, but didn't think it would fit the -700?Thanks,Frank
November 9, 200421 yr http://mercury.walagata.com/w/amrad/Cork20...03_215555AC.JPG Frank - this repaint was done specifically for pmdg's 737-700 - so you'll have no problems with it. - no "adjustments" needed!! :-)ps. this screenshot doesn't do it justice-it looks a LOT better in FS9Happy Flying.Patrick Roe
November 9, 200421 yr Thanks very much, Patrick. It's looks very nice, doesn't it? What fooled me before is that Niall forgot to change the type identifier on the fuselage from 737-500 to 737-700.BR,FrankPS Are you a Corkman, by chance? :-)
