Cold Dark and extremely angry

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. I think soon I will lose my marbles.Hi hopped out of my 737ng and when I hopped back in I found my glass displays were switched off. I don't do cold and dark and can't find the switch to turn them back on. Can anyone let me in on ther secret please to get them on again.ThanksGraham

Graham,Are you sure you haven't switched the enginess off etc. Have you got an 'electrics' warning on your warning panel (yellow panel top left of glareshield) - if so get rid of it by checking the overhead to make sure the battery switch is covered and make sure the apu is running and that all bus switches are correctly set. Put the switches right if they are incorect, cancel your warning if you've got one and bingo ! should be alright.

I've re-installed the whole thing and they are still switched off. What on earth is going on. Must be something to do with fs itself. Did I alter something in another aircraft when I popped out. Perhaps I shut down in a cessna or somethingHellppppppGraham

I reckon you have saved the default flight with the engines off. Load up with a Cessna and get it started (CTRL +E I think). Once running change to the PMDG and everything should be running.

First, no reason to post a subject like this... there are lots of folks here to provide help. :-)In addition to the above suggestions:Did you try turning on ground power (switch #2)? http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/96886.jpgWhat does the AC/DC Metering Panel show (switch #9 aux bat)?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/96890.jpgScreen shots of these panels would also be helpful.

Its FSUIPC versions above 3.4It stopped several proggies from working.Don't install itGraham

Sorry but which part of the post wasn't there a reason for??I don't understand your comment. I had a genuine problem. I have now realised what is wrong. FSUIPC versions above 3.4 cause programs to external programs that use it eg Activesky etc. I feel I have contributed myself a little here to the cause as have perhaps outlined a problem here.I had actually tried all the switch combinations and everything else I could think of before I wrote to the forum. Many thanks GrahamUKRoute developer

Hi,Yes you could be right but that wouldn't explain other programs not working. When I went back to an earlier version of FSUIPC (3.4). My other programs started connecting over a LAN again and my Glass Cockpit Gauges illuminated again.Perhaps I'm wrong but it cured all my problems reverting back to an earlier version. Thanks for all your help guys. Watch out for FSUIPC and remember this post.CheersGrahamUKRoute developer

To be clear: You don't have to post a subject line that says you are extremely angry. There is no need to be extremely angry (at who?), we are here to help! :-)

George,Theres nothing wrong with being angry. Its a human sense of feeling. I wasn't flaming anyone or the product I was just expressing my feelings. Of course theres no need to be extremely angry but if you can find a way of removing this emotion from human nature then you'll go down in history. Some people use emoticons :- :-mad :-fume :-8I used a word . . .I believe it is a free world . . . . .its that simple . . . .don't take things to heart so much.Graham . . . . .happy!!! :-yellow1 :-waveGraham SumnerUKRoute developer :-kewl

Oh no!I just downloaded and installed the latest FSUIPC :( :(

Watch out for FSUIPC?No one else seems to be having a problem, perhaps its something YOU are doing.

Graham,If you think FSUIPC is responsible for your problems then perhaps you should discuss the matter with Pete Dowson in his forum... http://forums.simflight.com/viewforum.php?...830d9a7e5321eb1Cheers,
