737-600 with winglets

Featured Replies

Hello, Everyone!I recently read that WestJet will be the launch customer of the 737-600 with winglets. Will PMDG release an update allowing winglets on the -600 model? Thanks in advance,Eric

It's my understanding that the>structure of the 737-600 does not allow for the use of>winglets. It's all on the Aviation Partners/Boeing website:http://www.aviationpartnersboeing.com/main.htmJust go to the news section. As for the structure not being able to allow for winglets, the -600 has the same wing as a -700 so it's just a matter of certification tests.JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanichttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg

Still a while to go before it enters into real life service ..."Flight testing, with a WestJet-provided aircraft, will run from March - May 2006 with FAA and Transport Canada certification expected the following July."Armen at EGLLwww.veryquiet.com
