April 26, 200521 yr Hi, The ITVV Virgin Atlantic DVD is excellent! I do recommend The Cathay Pacific DVD, also from ITVV(There is a demonstration of hot engine start, stalls and engine fire using the Cathay simulator in Hong Kong). Orlando.
April 26, 200521 yr Glen,You need to order the NTSC format for the U.S. The PAL format is used over seas. I'm going to order this DVD.Ken.
April 26, 200521 yr Hi All,I have the Cathay Pacific 744 Video with Captain Don Grange (nice tash)... I think if I remember correctly (I might be wrong) that it was shipped with PSS boxed version of the their 747-400?It is very informative and I thoroughly recommend it, here is the list from the ITVV websiteThis documentary style programme allows you the opportunity of an insight into the worlds most popular and well-known civil aircraft - the mighty Boeing 747-400 Jumbo Jet.Captain Don Grange escorts you on a flight from London Heathrow (LHR) into one of the worlds most demanding landings - Hong Kong's (HKG) Kai Tak airport. During the programme you will sit on the flightdeck for the departure from London on flight CX250 and see the take-off first hand.747-400 SimulatorThen we go into the Cathay Pacific Boeing 747-400 simulator in Hong Kong. This multi-million dollar simulator is used to show you some incredible facts about the -400. Demonstrations include a full take-off from 09R at Heathrow, from engine start-up (including a hot engine start). Full explanation of what is happening along with views of the PFD (Primary Flight Display). High and Low speed stalling with dramatic actions, engine fire, plus much more. Then we go back to flight CX250 for the landing into Kai Tak. This multi camera shoot of one of the worlds most demanding landings is something to treasure forever. A truly educational programme suitable for anyone interested or involved in civil aviation.regardsPHIL

April 27, 200521 yr Hi all,I want to order the 747-400 on DVD. But I noticed that they have two series. One is on the Virgin Atlantic Airways 747-200 and one is on the Cathay Pacific Airways 747-400. Are the two DVDs the same, the only difference being that one is the 747-200 and the other is the 747-400? I think I will purchase the 747-400. Simmarket has this video but I noticed that ITVV has it and I think the shipping and handling is free. Have any of you ordered the DVD from ITVV and will it be better to order it from ITVV? Ken.
April 27, 200521 yr Author I ordered from ITVV. Not sure what you mean by "same" DVDs. They both involve 747-400 but the airline and route is different so they are two diferent DVDs. April 27, 200521 yr Hiya,I watched your cousin over and over again in the ITVV video. I'm shocked to hear he's not at Virgin anymore. Why did he move to Korean? Anyway, you're my latest claim to fame. My last one was meeting Captain Rex Taylor (ITVV Airtours 757) in the SAS Raddison hotel at EGCC airpirt! I also met Captain Dave Henry (ITVV Leisure 767), when he was flying for My Travel. I don't hang around by the crew area, both times were chance meetings whilst going on holiday - and no - I didnt ask for autographs. But both were nice chaps!Take care,Steve
