July 19, 200520 yr Hello,I was just wondering wat your favorite engine sound is...lets see if you have a good taste. :)My favorite engine sound is certenly the Lockheed C-5 Galaxy.
July 19, 200520 yr I would go for Suzuki DL-650 V-Strom, and if it hadn't be an engine sound I would go for the sound what Outlook makes when I receive an order confirmation from PMDG regarding my B747-400 order ;-)http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpgPelle F. S. Liljendal

July 20, 200520 yr Author If look to all these answers y'll notice that these are all oldies. :)Classic engines ROCK!!
July 20, 200520 yr Classic engines do indeed rock, but I must say that the 777 is very nice on the ears when you are sitting over the wing. It has a very distinctive roar on takeoff. The startup sounds are quite nice as well, much more pleasing than the 767, which to me sounds more like a Mac truck than a jet.Andrew
July 20, 200520 yr For me, BMW straight six, anywhere but especially the other side of 5000 rpm.For kicks, Concorde, I only heard it once but I will never forget. For serious, RR RB211-524, loverly. For second place, the GE90, big whoosh and undertones of stone grating on stone that hints at serious plant.Nick
