  6. FS9 for me!! Having been away for awhile, I finally got the balls to build my own system. FS9 now performs the way I've always dreamed & still looks great. Like Ed said, FSX looks to cartoonish to me. RegardsAdam
  7. Hi Geoff,Thanks for your comments. I think I shall go ahead with this upgrade. It seems like most of the comments from people who purchase these cards say it improves there game performance, but we all know what a different kettle of fish FS is. So am always more hesitant, but am glad to hear of your experience.Again thanks for your imput!RegardsAdam
  8. I know I know, its been asked many a time. I'll admit though, I have been reading allot of the posts on this subject and find them sometimes conflicting. So here goes!I have a Gigabyte GA-8PE667 ultra mobo (3.06ghz), 1024mb PC2700, 160gb, and an ATI 9700 128. I run my resolution at 1024x768.Basically I would like to get more fluidity in the sim. It runs well but would like that little bit extra. I really do not want to upgrade for a while yet, so would upgrading my 9700 to an XFX GeForce 7600GT (AGP4) or equivalent give me that. Some posts I have seen have said you will get some improvement, but others say you need to change the CPU to get the improvement, and that changing the card will not give you what you need.So any info would be most welcome. Just not sure if its worth investing in a new card, or maybe some extra memory. Many thanks and regards to all - (Forgot to say I'm running FS2004 only, will not be using FSX)Adam:-beerchug
  9. Thanks Jaap,I have been fortunate enough to have seen most of the world, an amazing place and experience! I spent eight years sailing around it. Its hard to pick a favorite. Chile was beautiful as it has so many varying landscapes and climates, from the cold Fjords to the hot desserts, and probably the most friendly people I have met. Which reminds me, Easter Island (Chile) was the most fascinating place I ever got to see. But I could bore you with all the places. I guess as far as places most people don't get to see, then Kirabati, Devils Island, Pitcairn Island, The Amazon, and yes cruise ships do sail up the Amazon, all the way to Manaus - Its something I'm very glad I did. I believe our world would be a better place if more people were able to see it and experience it. Re: Hong Kong, loved it, again amazing place, always reminds me of the classic scifi film 'Blade Runner', with the lights, people and sounds, great place! Thanks againAdam
  10. Hi Jaap,Thank you for your reply! I think you just made my day. Had a quick look. I have a Gigabyte GA-8PE667 Mobo installed and has the ATX connectors. PSU is by FSP group (FSP250-60GTV).Had this thing since the 3Ghz was released (2002) but it's still ticking along nicely!Guess its time to check out Newegg. While I am picking brains here, what would you recommend as a good brand for PSU's. Just answered my own question. I see FSP PSU's on there so will probably just stick with the same, been good so far! Again many thanks for your help! With regardsAdam
  11. HI,I am currently using a UK spec computer (Viglen) in the USA with transformers. It sadly does not have multivoltage. Its an Intel 3.06Ghz, running on a 250watt PSU. My question is - can I switch, or should I say remove the UK psu and install a US psu or would this fry all the circuits etc inside. I don't want to update my system yet as it still serves me well, but with the transformers, its allot of wattage I am running. Plus the expense of a new system!Appreciate your advice. Many thanks Adam
  12. Couldn't have have expressed it better myself. Thanks to all at PMDG for your great products!RegardsAdam:-beerchug & not forgetting WILSON:-sun1
  13. Wow, sounds like one #### of a system. I Bet that whole rig is about to take off. Would love to see how smooth it runs. I reckon after FSX comes out I will look into a new rig, depending on its performance.Happy FlyingAdam
  14. Must been going since 1988-89. First real flight sim was AIRBUS A320 on the Amiga 500. This was allot of fun. It even INCLUDED Jeppesen high altitude charts and 2 books full of approach plates, don't see that now. Learned allot from that little program. I still look at MFS today in amazement. Here are some screens of what it was like.http://hol.abime.net/3173/screenshotRegards Adam

I think my sig says it allSSTSIM's Concorde. To me its the most advanced of all the sims and very rewarding. My second would be PMDG 737. Great for hopping up & down the west coast of California, with Flytampa's great Ksfo, Ksea, Ksan. Aeroworx Super King Air B200 is my third fave. When I have flown the Concorde a few times & then hop into a 737 the change of sensation with flying speeds is amazing. Everything becomes very sloooooow. We've come a long way with Flight sims.Regards Adam:-beerchug
  18. I reckon it sounds great. Have a listen to this. I know its from the cabin & not flight deck, but still think it sounds pretty close (IMO). Nothing like hearing those Rolls Royce Olympus engines on full throttle...........Wowhttp://www.flightlevel350.com/viewer.php?id=1559Regards Adam
  19. I highly recommend it too. If you want a taste of what Concorde is all about, this is it. Its not difficult its just learning some of the systems that made Concorde special. The new engine sounds are great too. As for support I think these guys have been up 48 hours, keeping us boys happy with our toys. A first class product!!Best wishes Adam:-beerchug
