October 8, 200520 yr SSTSIM Concorde is released!!!:-jumpy She's available under the aircraft tab on Flight1.
October 8, 200520 yr I'm downloading now, really slow though... :-) FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
October 8, 200520 yr Would be nice to hear how it is and for example compared to the PSS Concorde. Thanks.
October 8, 200520 yr >Would be nice to hear how it is and for example compared to>the PSS Concorde. Thanks.Quite honestley they dont compare. IMHO the SSTSIm Concorde is the Concorde. Its really an amazing piece of FS Software.
October 8, 200520 yr If this new one is anything like the Altitude / Koch Media concorde, (Which I have no doubt surpasses it) then you can't even use PSS in the same sentence. No Comparison, this one will smoke PSS.
October 9, 200520 yr I agree with the guys above. The PSS Concorde will rapidly fade into your memory when you have played with this one.The entire Concorde fuel system with no cheats or workarounds. The real deal.Debow starts.A totally correct autoflight system including correct implementation of CAT3.And a model of the Concorde which LOOKS like a Concorde not one with a distorted front end(sorry PSSS guys but your model is far from looking like the Concorde). It is every bit as good as the LDS76 or PMDG744 but for Mach 2 flyers only and without any of the automation.Serious pilots need only apply.Darren
October 9, 200520 yr Baby where have you been. ;-)I've concentrated on all the great Boeing sims for the last couple of years, so I've sat out on all recent versions of Concorde. This SSTM Concorde is impressive. Anyone out there who's into the DF 727 or RFP 747, this beast is calling out to you. I've never seen a VC this jammed packed with working switches, gauges, and avionics. Even the engineering station is mostly operable. The VC refresh rate seems a bit low though. Although I
October 9, 200520 yr "If this new one is anything like the Altitude / Koch Media concorde"Paul this is one and the same. Flight1 is offering an updated version of the Koch Concord which by the way smokes the competition... FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
October 9, 200520 yr No they have zero to do with Koch; these are the guys that made the KOCJ Concorde this is a whole new package and is SSTSIM they are in no way affiliated with KOCH any longer.
October 9, 200520 yr is there an engineer that can do all the fuel balancing for you or do you have to do everything yourself?
October 9, 200520 yr Hi Alex. Yes there is a VFE(Virtual Fuel Engineer). He/She will handle the important flight regime fuel stuff for you. But if you want to dump fuel, etc. Then that you will, have to do manualy. However, there is a great chart that shows the switches used for moving the fuel. ONce you get the hang of it, it's fairly easy. However, I strongly urge at some point to learn to do the fuel managment yourself, down the road.:-) It is very rewarding to move the fuel around on a supersonic flight. Not too mention alot of fun and gratification. Hope this helps answer your question. You can also go to www.sstsim.com,there is a great forum, FAQ,screenshots. Also, a very friendly and helpful bunch of folks. If you are looking for an exciting challenge, and as close to a feeling of flying Concorde...you can't go wrong with Concorde SSTSIM.:-) Enjoy!!Best,David
October 9, 200520 yr The size of the programme is massive :-( and would take all week to download on my system. Is there anything with the installation which stops you downloading on a freinds broadband computer copying to disc and transferring to my computer for installation/payment?Peter
October 9, 200520 yr Nope; you can download the wrapper from flight one and take it home to purchase/install. Just have to be connected to the internet during that process and to re-install.
October 9, 200520 yr Does this mean that 'SU-3' is now cancelled?Dave T. .........On the lovely warm Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/ Dave Taylor
