  1. yeah, you kinda , missed the point. That's ok though. To each their own
  2. IniBuilds MU-2….NUFF SAID!!
  3. Hey everyone, drunk has now given us the ini config to edit the values! It's available for download at the github link. The one yhat is listed on about page 36 I think. Thank You again drunk. Best, David
  4. Hey Pat, I have already d/l the plane. Just need my code. Hopefully, someone will get my Email. Best, David
  5. Hey Ryan, check PM's. Hello Ed, I saw your post. I sent an email to that address. Still no response or code. Best, David
  6. Hey Ryan, etal. Checked the spam folder...no message. After purchase w/ PayPal, got a receipt right away. Still have not received the activation code. Shortly after purchase, I sent a message to Customer Support w/ PayPal receipt. Tried to follow up today, having the server issues. I have d/l the plane, just can't install due to no activation code. Can't even look at the manual, since they need an activation code to d/l. No other simstore has it right now, otherwise I would cancel this PayPal order, and purchase from them. I know I get a code immediately. So, at this point, I'm having to wait for XP to get things in order, then maybe I'll get the code. Best, David
  7. Purchased this early this morn. Still haven't gotten my Email serial number code. Went to the site, to send another customer service Email. getting Server 500 error. Other areas of the site are fine. (Too many d/l, swamping the server?) Anybody else having issues getting their activation code as well. Does anyone know of an alternate Email, directly to customer service or tech support. Looks like they have done a beautiful; job on the update. Looking forward to flying her soon. Best, David EDIT: Well, guess I'm gonna have to wait for XP to get things fixed. I can't even send a follow up Email to Customer Service. Also, product is not available anywhere else right now. Oh well, they have my money, so hopefully soon they'll send my code. Looks like issue is on their end.
  8. Any chance we may see this one in 2016? Such a beautiful plane and model. Thank You for doing this aircraft. Best, David
  9. Hey Trans, I recently built up a smokinnmachine too. I had the same issue. We discovered we had installed the vid card in a non pci x2 slot. When we moved the card to the correct pci slot..she was cookin again. If you moved the vid card for your SSD install, might check the vid card. Just a thought Best, David
  10. hey flyover. If you have checked that the props are on the locks. Since it is spooling for you, sounds like the switches and levers are correct. The other procedure is to ensure you hold the start button down till you see an increase on the EGT, then releae the starter button. Start is automatic from that point. In order to ensure everything correct for start, it' s easiest to hit Shift1 "All systems Off " before starting. then follow the checklist. Here's a quick checklist: 1 Batt key....ON 2 Inverter switch Main/Stby.....ON 3. Fuel Valves.....OPEN 4 Fuel Quanity checked 5. Power Levers....Ground Idle 6. Condition Levers.....TAXI 7. Run Crank Stop(RCS) switches......RUN 8.SRL Switches.......ON 9.Auto Ignition switches....OFF 10. Parking Brake....SET This is the prelim setup for all starts. Starting: 1.Start Select Switch(bottom of pedestal) .....SELECT ENGINE TO START. R or L 2.Starter Button.......PRESS AND HOLD till EGT Rise Noted, THEN RELEASE STARTER BUTTON You should see lightoff approx 10% Try that, should get ya started flyover. Have Fun David
  11. Folks, disregard. Got everything resolved. Thanks Best, David
  12. Hey folks, not sure were to post this thread. I have a LUA script that Pete Dawson is assisting me on recently. Essentialy, I'm trying to limit my torque to a certain range on my throttle quadrant. When past that range, the power would increase normally. I've tried all of Pete's suggestions, nothing is working correctly. The throttle travel is not limited at all. I know Bob Scott is good with LUA. He wrote the dynamicfriction.lua Does he still get on the forum? If anyone can help, greatly appreciated. We can work via PM/Email if easier. Thanks for any help. Best, David
  13. Dave Kalin(Hangar) check you PM's Please. Best, David
  14. Hi Dave. No just a customer trying to help out a little. Yes, to both. Hope Mark will get things sorted out for everyone. Have Fun! David
  15. Hey hangar. Just FYI. To get the best from the sound enhancement: On taxi try and keep around 20% torque or less. With the FSUIPC dynamic friction lua should taxi well. When you get ready to increase the condition levers to takeoff, have the torque at 20%. It should do a fairly nice transition from there. With the updated flight model, you'll be around 30-40% torque so sounds should not shift to the lower(ie condition levers taxi) till going into reverse and back. But, it's the closest I could get based on realworld flights and vids I watched of takeoffs. It's fairly close, given FSX limitations. I re-installed version 1.0 again, and copied the air and aircraft conffig from1.1. That is till Mark can figure out why the A/P vertical modes stopped working in 1.1 Now I have a decent flying airplane with the autopilot working better. Have Fun! David
  16. ok, thanks for clearing things up. :-) Best, David
  17. hanger, when you mention the engine sound increasing with power, you used a rolling eyes emoticon. Are you saying this is a good or bad thing. Little confused by the emoticon, yet the font is green Thank for clarification Best, David
  18. Hey Hangar, if you get a chance. If you post. these results to the flysimwate store contact us link; Mark gets them right away, and usually responds fairly quickly. This ensures he knows for sure about the issues. Have Fun! Getting better and better. Best, David
  19. Having a Blast! I was waiting for this release like crazy. I love this plane! I have some MU-2 time, Mark and Joe have really captured the beauty of this plane. Been experimenting a little with the sound file, to get that slight increase sound on takeoff. Somewhat successful. Just a little more tweaking should have it. I concur with others re autopilot issues. Caveat. Make sure to turn the A/p,Y/D ON. Easy to miss. Below throttle quadrant. Just pushing the buttons on glare shield only selects that mode. Also, make sure either on the GTN-750, or the Garmin selection panel on pilot's side, you select the proper NAV mode. Either GPS or NAV. If in GPS mode, APP will not work. 1. When in level flight, with alt hold off, if select IAS mode the plane will climb before descending. It may be it is capturing a set IAS speed. I haven't found were the speed selection is located. I thought when IAS was selected, it would hold the speed at selection. Same thing on climb out. If IAS is selected around 180kts, the plane will reduce V/S to accelerate to approx. 200kts. Seems to be a hard coded speed? 2. Alt capture worked fine for me. Seems to function best if you set the requested ALT first, then use ALT Capture. On descent, I use ALT HOLD first, then select requested ALT, then disengage ALT HOLD to start descent. 3.V/S Mode. Using the pitch knob on A/P, I couldn't seem to adjust V/S on the plane anymore than about 700-1000fpm. Hard coded as well? Operator error, not sure. :-) 4. APP Mode:Had a glitch with APP mode. Flew a trip from KTKI(real homebase) to KGLS. Set up the GTN 750 for the approach to 13 ILS GLS. Plane was tracking beautifully approaching FAF. After intercept and capture ,I configured on speeds, captured G/S was following normally, then approx. 1000 ft the airplane just dove towards the ground. I disengaged the autopilot, to handfly rest of the approach. At that point, FSX froze up solid, I had a weird humming/buzzing sound from monitor. Computer was locked up tight. Had to do a complete restart of my system. After reboot, did another flight. Set the plane on final again for KGLS, this time A/P APP worked flawlessly. Scratching head. VAS Issue perhaps? Using FSX Accel w/DX-10 fixer. 5. When using the CTRL E Autostart, had issues with startup. I then remembered, I had reloaded the last saved FSUIPC flight. Well, that was saved during the approach, hence airplane in flying mode. Hence props off the locks. Trying to start, it would not light off. I then looked at the props, not on the locks. Did manual procedures for unfeather...start normal then. Also noted on the reset the condition levers were not in correct positions. Left was Emergency stop, right was ground idle. I DO NOT believe this was an airplane issue. I believe it was the re-save of the FSUIPC. 6.The amount of power to taxi was bugging me quite a bit. I discovered the dynamicfriction lua file form FSUIPC. She taxies beautifully now. Just a little power to get rolling, then pretty much leave power levers at ground idle position, with occasional beta to slow. Try it, works great. The dynamic aspect is once above 30 kts, it allows the devs flight model to work for takeoffs landings etc. Don't know how it will handle on different surfaces and or conditions. I know some of you are on the fence on this beautiful plane because you need the eye candy etc. IMHO you are missing out on a FUN FAST airplane. As mentioned, I have some MU-2 time, Mark and Joe have captured this plane and operations very nicely. Is it photorealistic? No. However, when you sit in the pilot's seat, does it give a feeling of immersion sitting in an actual MU-2? Graphics of panel not withstanding.....IMHO....Hell Yes! Lastly, apologies for the long post. Wanted to give some thoughts on this plane. Finally, STILL HAVING A BLAST! Flying this beautiful plane. Thank You, Mark and Joe. Have Fun! David
  20. Ah, Ok. I new you changed jobs, thought the caravan was the new job. Been refreshing the purchase screen for a while now, now the vids are released; hoping the plane would be too. Especially since you mentioned that a few times in the vid. Fingers crossed! Best, David Hey Todd. Actually on the real plane, you will get a change in the sound as power is increased. Suspect, it might be a limitation they ran into, that precluded the sound change. It's not much in the real plane, your only increasing to 100% from around 97% RPM. If you check out the mtnair youtube vid, when he does the takeoff, you see what I mean. Quite different from a PT-6 type sound. Ready to Fly her! :-) Best, David
  21. Hey Joe. Nice Jobs on the vids. I know you said it was released in the vids, not yet I know. It is my hope it will be tonight.......Please! :-) Congrats on your Caravan flying job. Best, David
  22. Hey folks, in anticipation of the upcoming MU-2 from Flysimware, I was watching several MU-2 vids. One I came across was a landing and takeoff at MPTX(Porte de Paix) Haiti. I wanted to fly there in the MU-2 when it's released. The field is there in FSX, doesn't really resemble too much of the actual area. Tried using ADE to edit the default. Screwed things up. Got trees in the middle of the runway, etc. Reading the ADE manual, maybe get it figured out OK. At any rate, does anyone know of any scenery available that represents the MTPX airport and area. Either, Freeware or pay ware. I found an area searching the library, but it's for 2004. Any insight appreciated. It doesn't look like it would be too difficult to redo the area to something more realistic, I just don't know how right now. Thanks for any help. Best, David
  23. Hi Joe, see on the FB page, you guys are close to release. Hope to fly her soon. Looking real good. Hope you had some success on adding a little change to engine increase sound, that would make her perfect. :-) If your ever in the D/FW area, let me know, we'll go fly the Aerostar. Best, David
  24. Hi Joe. Gottcha. I was using FS Sound Studio to edit the 441 sounds some. Made some progress, but flight schedule kept me busy. I tried to increase the freq. a little from the 96-100% RPM range, it was coming along a sounding fairly good too me. Gave me that increasing power sound somewhat. Might try the freq. increase thing, if FSX permits. Looking forward to her release. I love my Aerostar, but hope to move up to a "Mits" someday. :-) Got vaca. coming up Apr 26, maybe I'll get lucky and the timing will be right. Nice Job again to you and Mark. Step up from the 441. Keeps getting better and better. Best, David
  25. hey Joe, looking forward to the "Mits" Sounds are much improved over 441. Just one thought on takeoff sound. On the TPE 331 aircraft I have flown(j31,mu2); there is a slight change of engine sound when throttles are increased for t/o. I noticed on your vid, once the condition levers were pushed up,(great transition sound) there wasn' a change in the engine sound when power increased. The Mountain Air vids show the change quite well. Everything else is spot on from what I remember. Are the sounds, still WIP? Looking forward to flying her. Another step up from the 441, nice job Best, David
