CTD and Re-Install Problem

Featured Replies

Good Afternoon All,I, too, have had the CTD problem and decided to re-install. After removing from the AddRemove menu, I started to re-install my purchased version, which is PMDG747_400_V1R2, purchased on 8-13-05. When trying run the installer, I get the following errors:"The following error occurred on the file "C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9GuagesPMDG_747400_Center.gau.' Access is denied. (0x5) Abort? Retry? Ignore?"First time through, I aborted thinking it was just a .exe bug. Second time, I got it and ignored and then got the same on the _Main.gau. Installer finished but when I checked FS9 it wouldn't get beyond the initial screen. When I checked the gauges folder, the files are still there even though I did a complete un-install the proper way.Anyone ever have this one or know what might be wrong? And, shouldn't all of the 744's files be removed by the installer?Any and all help greatly appreciated!

Gerald

I'm having this same problem with the 744F. Where is the state.cfg file? I can't find it anywhere. Thanks.Brian

x:documents and settingsusernameapplication datamicrosoftfs9aircraftThen what I would assume would be pmdg 747-400f. Don't have the freighter, so I can say for sure, but you should beable to figure it out.

Thanks, I found the file but I still get the error. The regular 400 installed no problem a couple months ago. But the 400F won't go. Even with the 400F and 400 state.cfg files deleted. Any other options?Brian

Sorry, wish I could help with that, but I can't.
