Thanks Joe. I deleted through the Control Panel and it's not there now. Maybe the Windows Uninstaller didn't wipe it but a reg scan doesn't show any residuals. On to MS support I guess...

Afternoon, Tried this in the FSX forum but should have been here. I have had to do a reinstall of FSX for various reasons and am having a problem trying to get the SDK to install. I get a 1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime. I am right clicking as admin and all read onlys are off. Interestingly enough if I start the FSX install it works fine. I was on a delete tear and deleted the SDK, big mistake... :Doh: What I've done so far: -Tried MS Fixit which failed -Numerous searches which all pointed to Fixit or registry issues -Ran SpeedyPro PC and CCleaner registry repairs -Tried to find a newer version of InstallShield to no avail I have re-installed FSX so InstallShield is working fine. It is just for the SDK setup.exe that it won't work. I need my ADEX... :smile: Any help greatly appreciated. Happy Holidays all!

Update 20Dec 2100Z Reinstalled FSX clean with no issues, stopped at initial RTM, installed fine, started once to finalize, no issues. Tried SDK again and same issue. I'm really stumped here. Wouldn't mind so much except really have used ADE a lot for AFCADs and need it for that. Again, any help or ideas appreciated.

Hi Gord, FTX Central->Tools->Reports->FTX Products Installed will give you a complete list of everything ORBX and current installed versions. Hope this helps.

Afternoon Folks, I'm going to vent a little here, something I rarely do online. And for the record, this is not directed at Avsim's forums per se. I was browsing through a support forum for a certain Kingair just now, reading a thread about memory management. It was a rather lengthy thread that was interesting until about 2/3 down when it suddenly devolved into yet another discussion about the recent global texture release by a southern hemisphere company. It was slightly shocking to see a discussion about an add on plane suddenly turn into how some companies are taking over your sim, etc., etc., etc. Please, please, please everyone, can't we stop this? By now most everyone knows how competitors feel about this recent release. Continual ranting about it is not doing anything to enhance their position, especially when hijacking a thread about an airplane! The product is out there, they can deal with it by improving their current product or work on a new one but don't continually inflict this venom on the customer base. I for one have had enough and will now begin to evaluate my future purchases with this in mind. I am a big boy, have been simming for over 25 years and I can make my own decisions about what I buy, what I install and what I remove. Developers should really stop occasionally and ask themselves am I helping myself and my business with my recent behavior? Thanks for reading and have a great Sunday. Gerald

Well I was just about to say that I didn't have this issue on the Orbx forums and lo and behold today I do. You're right, Tom. MS is not our friend. Guess some update over the last couple of weeks didn't play well with the other children. Time to look at another browser.

One other thing to try is to see if you have any native FS9 traffic bgls mixed in with your FSX traffic. If you do then the native FSX traffic won't show up AFAIK. If you are using AFIP2 under the file menu there is a utility for finding/converting FS9 to FSX files, works great and easy. I've been looking for new post-merger United traffic files with no luck. Might I ask where you got them?

Just a thought but did you check the AFCAD file to make sure all of the Continental spots were changed to UAL after the merger last year? Thanks, Dave. I thought about that but am always a bit wary about overwriting a config file. I edited the config file to messages off and it works great. Thanks, again, for the SP2, it is a real treat.

Thanks Chris. I know it can be turned off but when you start AS again it's back on. I found the cfg files and have changed ShowSimMessages to False, testing now to see if it holds.

Evening Folks, Really enjoying the SP2, especially the selection screen for flight type and the low vis improvements. Wonder if we might have the option to have the AS Text Messages off? I have 10 minute updates on and the green screen every 10 minutes is a bit distracting and lowers the immersion factor. Besides, when the weather changes real world we don't get a notice, we have to see and react...:-). If there is a way to change it in the selections I would love to know. I know you can change it in the options after processing but I've been hesitant to save it without knowing if this will overwrite something critical. Thanks and keep up the great work!

I updated to the new schedule yesterday and repaints are fine. But, I had adjusted flight percentages at quite a few airports and those did not survive...

Hi Jim, Sorry you are having problems. Just tried it again and it works fine for me. Forgive asking obvious questions but just a few (I work in medical imaging support and first rule is never assume anything... ) -extract the installer zip from the d/l zip file (woa_deltaairlines_v3.zip) -right click on WOA installer exe and run as admin -When I got my new rig I had to go find .Net 2 as my copy of Win64 didn't have it (I know everyone always says Vista and Win 7 have it but it wasn't on my copy) As Jeff mentions above in post #15 you can also auto install and then delete the traffic bgl. I don't like to auto install anything if I can help it so I manual install whenever possible. That's all I can think of. Hope this helps.

Hi Stephen, One thing I did is d/l the latest WOA Delta package (June 2011) and extract it for a manual install. It has all of the former NW equipment repainted with Delta livery. Moved the repaints to the Simobjects/Airplanes folder and assigned them. Works really good. Hope this helps.
