737NG Update?

Recommended Posts

Guest mariner75

Hi PMDG. Well your 737 is aging IMO. I think it's about 2 or 3 years old now. There has been talk about you maybe working on an update for the 737. Is this true or do you plan on just focusing your work on the 747F and MD-11. I am looking forward to you MD-11 a lot. Do you have any news on the MD-11. Do you have any estimates on a prssible release date. What quarter of next year would you think she would be done? Well I hope you can answer a few of these questions.Jared

I would like to know if there will be a future update to the 737. In the manual there are references to parts of the system that may be implemented in future versions and I wonder if they ever will now there are other aircraft in development?ThanksGraham

So far PMDG has been mum on a future 737, but two things are clear:1. They know that many folks would love to see a 737 re-done with all the things they've learned in the meantime.2. They haven't ruled it out. They do have a lot on their plate, so I would advice being patient and hopeful.Best wishes

This question has been asked numerous times - the development team is well aware of people's desire to see a revamped NG and I'm sure they'll take it into consideration in the future. :)

They could always make it better, but it's great now! It does everything it should IMO, so I wouldn't call it "dated". I suppose I would like to see another NG series from PMDG, which I'd assume would be an FSX product, but the NG we have now is great!I'm just wanting that MD-11! It's been number one on my wishlist since I got into heavies - Like 4 years.

I'm going to be 'Patient and Hopeful' because the 'NG' series is going to be with us for a very long, long time. Remember that the 'NG' came along in 1997 or so and is just a youngster..I remain 'Patient & Hopeful'..noullet

Could it be that PMDG will wait to see how the changes in FSX are before updating the 737? Seems a reasonable course to take rather than investing time and effort only to have to redo it all in a few months. Mike

That could very well be and something that I am once again reminded of daily and that is: "To be Patient and Hopeful"....Very Hopeful. The 'NG' is the ultimate; along with the queen of course..Regards,noullet
