Possible engine failure not working on 737NG

Featured Replies

Hi All -I've been flying the NG for a few years now (since it came out), but I just started testing out the failures. Tonight, I tried the engine failure option. Set it at 2 minutes.. Waited, and waited... no engine failure. However, when I went back to the failures menu, it said that the failure occured. So, I cleared the failure and tried again with a different time. 30 seconds.. Same problem, no engine failure. However, the engine finally failed during the rollout on the landing... I tried again, same result. Shouldn't the engine fail in-flight?Thanks for the help!Kevin

Still in need of an answer. Any help/comments/thoughts appreciated.thanks,Kevin

Haven't tried the Engine Failure in a long time but I think your right, it don't work. A lot of the failures seem to be hit or miss. The V1 cut and Engine Fire will work though.Floyd

I am using the 737-800/900 and cannot get the engines to fail in flight using the PMDG settings.Works with the FS9 engine failure settings though !Peter
