737 800/900 TO/GA on Throttles

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone, just a quick simple question. According to the manual, the TO/GA Switch is on the upper left part of the throttles, next to the spoiler lever.I have tried a number of times to "activate/use" this but nothing happens. Do I have to set this up in the settings or somewhere else?ThanksWayne

Hi WayneI think the TO/GA is also on the MCP near the top left of the A/T lever-it looks like a screw(I am sure it does not look like this in the real 737).If you push the the screw it should activate the ag/to switch.Tass

Hi Tass, thanks for that. I have been looking at the throttle not the MCP.Thanks againWayne

It was moved there to keep the throttle view out of the way (in FS) when lining up and doing a quick take-off or go-around. One less window to open and close when your hands are busy. That is stated in one of the manuals.

Using FSUIPC I configured one of my joystick buttons to function as the TO/GA switch. That way no matter what panel for view I'm currently looking at, I've got TO/GA available to me.

Hi,As an aside, and with due respect for this wonderful product (and its creator, and its users..), you don't really need FSUIPC to assign functions like TO/GA, TO/GA RESET, or autopilot disconnect (APDISCON) to your joystick buttons. I personally use the CH Control Manager but any programmable stick will do, with PMDG's PMDG/keyboard commands menu (just take a look at the PMDG744 Type course lesson 1). Best regards,Bruno (Paris)
