Hello all.I'm probably going to buy 737 NG add-on in the next days.In fact, I'd prefer buy 737-800/900 instead of 737-600/700.But, do I need the 737-600/700 add-on to buy 737-800/900 add-on, or is this up to me ?Thank you for answerring.Bye. :-)

Hello :-),As far as I know you need the 600/700 version prior to install the 800/900 version.Grtz,WilliamPS : please sign your posts with your real name as per the forum rules

Nameless,Yes, you must have the 600/700 to install the 800/900. There's a CD version of the 800/900 only available somewhere I believe (Aerosoft maybe?)

Yes (for FS9). I have it and it is stand-alone although I also purchased the CD of the 600/700 model (not required to get their 800/900).After acquiring it, register the product on their FAQ/Update section of Aerosoft to get the available patches.Registration code is hard copy delivered with the CD and other than tech support is not an on-line function (as I recall).Liveries from the PMDG site work well as do other third party liveries for this model. It was just a matter of personal preference in electing to get a CD install. I should mention that the package includes all the .pdf documentation plus a hard copy operations manual and FMC manual. The .pdf files fine tune and expand these.
