June 20, 200718 yr Hello can the PMDG FMC recognize NAT tracks? For example I use FsCommander to generate my Flight Plan. In my flight plan I have the current NATS, when I load the flight plan it says for example Track Z not in database. Does anyone else use FsCommander? if so how do you tell the fmc to follow a certain track. Any help on this mater would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Ian
June 20, 200718 yr Ian,You can not enter a NAT as an airway. The North Atlantic Tracks are changed daily if not more often depending on winds and the like. You can find active track routings here: https://www.notams.jcs.mil/common/nat.htmlYou need to enter all waypoints for that track into the FMC. I do think this is how the FMC works on the real things as well.Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
June 20, 200718 yr Commercial Member Yeah it's either manual entry of the Lat/Lon points or the track gets downloaded via ACARS. You'll have to enter it manually in the sim since we don't have ACARS capability obviously... Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
June 20, 200718 yr Try FSBuild for your flight plans...it downloads the current NAT track's and exports those waypoint perfectly in PMDG format...just enter the CORoute and you are all set to go.Steve Park
June 20, 200718 yr Hi The NAT route must be set in the FMC/CDU with this syntax.A SUNOT 57/20 57/30 56/40 54/50 CARPE REDBY57/20 = 5720N 57/30 = 5730N56/40 = 5640N etc GreetingsMichel
June 20, 200718 yr Author Great thanks for all your input guys, I will try all your suggestions. Thanks,Ian
June 21, 200718 yr Hmmmm...That's strange. I have no problems with NATs. But, as a thing of practice, when I save the file in FSC, I specify PMDG 737 and not 747 format. Then, when I load the plan, the waypoints on the legs page show Track ... for those waypoints in the right-hand column. Yours doesn't do that? Try saving it in PMDG 737 format, perhaps.Cheers,
June 21, 200718 yr Author Sergey you my friend are a genius, I switched it to the pmdg 737 format and it works perfect. Thanks Ian
