October 2, 200718 yr Ok...I have everything ready to go and I turn on to the runway and begin to accelerate and I get to about 80kts and the engines just die...what is going on...ThanksRandy
October 3, 200718 yr I've seen similar things happen when I try to fly a second flight without restarting FS, the fix is to not use autothrottle until after initial climb or to restart FS each flight. You gave very little info... is FMC programed and pre-flight complete? Are alternators on-line? Are you using TOGA with A/T? Are you starting the first flight of a FS session? Do engines actually die or just retard? Dan Downs KCRP
October 3, 200718 yr Dan,ROFL, with all due respect, I've flown as many as 5 different legs in the -37 and never ever had a FS/PC crash related to the product. I'm not saying in your instance, your fix doesn't work for you, but the OP clearly has something totally unrelated and strange going on, if in fact he's actually refering to the engines quitting during his T/O roll.I'm going on 5 years with no re-format or FS re-install, FYI.The problems I've run into are: 1. Not programming the FMC correctly for the next route. 2. Forgetting to reset the flight director. 3. Not cross checking my overhead panel and other systems to make sure I'm actually up and running again prior to taxi out and take off (i.e. generators back online and so forth). Sorry I had a chuckle at your expense, I do love you-you know! :-)Edit: 1 other thing I could see is that he's got a CTRL-E+1+2 engine issue where maybe he's in-advertantly disabled the engines while trying to type in SB if he's online. That's happened to me several times in the past, but usually doesn't manifest itself until I try to land with an engine out, due to my lazyness and forgetfullness in cross checking...hehe. I think maybe his engine quiting after 80kts could have been a coincidence. Jeff D.
