October 21, 200718 yr In United's F14 C73 Y260 config:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/179164.jpgA perfect match isn't possible, but, I don't think I'll lose any sleep... :-lol You may send the men in the white coats at any time... Regards,Brian Doney
October 21, 200718 yr You could always try and reprogram it, but I think after several hours you'll volenteraly go with those nice men :-lol
October 21, 200718 yr Author It's as correct as I care it to be, here's Cathay's F12 C47 Y324 for comparison:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/179166.jpgEDIT: Kudos to PMDG for designing the LM the way you did. I'd never really looked at it's innards before, and although this type of modification is certainly bordering on the ridiculous, it's still pretty neat that it's possible. Now if only it could recognize custom .ini files...:-hah Regards,Brian Doney
October 23, 200718 yr Commercial Member Brian-Nice work! Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
October 23, 200718 yr Great work Brian! I wonder if a Lufthansa layout possible, since the first class is on the upper deck. LH has a pretty cool layout as pdf on their homepage :).Indeed, too bad that is not possible to add custom .ini files.Christian Christian Mohr
October 23, 200718 yr Author Christian,Unfortunately that layout is indeed not possible, for the very reason you mention.Virgin is another example. The upper deck seems to accept business seats only in 3 class configuration, and F class seems to be limited to a single, main deck section.NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING, as this is about as tangential as one can get regarding custom modifications, but perhaps in the future...Like I said....I was bored...:-hah EDIT: Just to say, that there is some practical use for the bean counters among us, as the ability to use a specific configuration does make some aspects of planning, etc., a touch easier.Airlines obviously do configure their aircraft based on the type of flying they do...the United example above reduces max capacity from the default 426 pax to 347...potentially a ~20,000 lbs/9,070 kgs max payload reduction. At 70% load this still gives us ~14,000 lbs/6,350 kgs to play with.Probably very useful flying ORD-HKG.But then, we get into the differences in OEW with less seats installed, etc., and my head explodes... :-hah Regards,Brian Doney
October 23, 200718 yr Hahaha if in the future it's possible PMDG should hire you as the specialist in this area and you can upload the correct configuration alongside every livery on the downloads page :D
