Click spots not operable

Featured Replies

I have now flown sevearl flights with the new "Queen" and everything has gone exectionally well. Using Vista 64 as the OS, with a 6700 Cor 2 Duo chip, 7800gtx card 4BG 6700 memory and TrackIR. I get good frame rates (better than in FS9) and the sim is smooth and enjoyable. No OOM reports. There is, however, one problem. In the pedestal view non of the click spots are operable. They are showing, as the cursor changes to a hand, but I cannot operate any swithches, buttons or knobs. Further the CDU is only operable from the Captain,s or Third Officer positions, in all other views the click spots either do not show, or are inoperable.Have I missed something, or if not, is there a work around.Norman

Norman-All normal click spots are operational for me. I was hoping that the Fuel Remaining knob in the VC would be made operational- it is not. You have to open the 2d overhead to get that one knob to work- I was hoping that it would be fixed in this release- but all in all- nothing to complain about.I am hoping that there will be an Active Camera release for FSX- I miss that!Enjoy the madness!Best-Carl F. I have also had several clickspots out of order, like the Autobrake switch and several others. I fixed this by reloading the aircraft, losing my preparations :(Also, I thought the pushback panel was operational, maybe there's some condition that must be met that I'm missing to make it work?Reards,Morten Narboe

i cant get the 2d panel at all or overhead/ pedestal in order to use the pushback panel how do you get it in fsxKav

Thanks Morten and Carl, I'll try different positons to view the panels. I would rather avoid a reload, but if necessary then that may be the way. I do not have a problem with push back Morton.Norman

Well I have tried all you suggested, ran the repair option, have uninstalled and re-installed twice and it is still the same.I am now going to downoad the zip again and then try another re-install.Norman

I have found the same problem with the pedestal panel, but I just use either the VC or 2D Capt or FO panel for most of my flight. However on the Virtual Cockpit panel I can not seem to find the TOGA spot thats on the 2D panels, the screw right next to AT arm switch. Is it there???

Glad to know I am not the only one, though sorry for you. Are you also using Vista 64 as the os?The TOGA switch is below the centre throttle levers, above the engine cutout swiches.Norman

No i am still with Windows XP Home, not sure if and when i will switch over to VISTA. But thanks for that tip I will look for it there.

OK, just wondered if there was a link. The other thing I wonder about is if it is linked to Acceleration/SP2, which I also have on my system.Norman

Gents, looks like the camera for the pedestal view is a bit too high and is being blocked by parts of the overhead. Until a fix is issued, an easy work-around is to hold down the shift key and hit the backspace key a few times to move the camera down.Best,Vin ScimonePMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/priv/img/forum/sig_pmdg.jpg
