January 23, 200818 yr Commercial Member Bruce,You do not need the 400F installed. I tried running a clean install of FS9 with just the 747-400 ver 1.1 installed and updated with the unified update without any trouble. I had one other customer with this problem and it was traced to an outdated installer. Can you drop me a line at support @ precisionmanuals.com and I will send you a fresh download link of the latest full version installer to try with some explicit installation instructionsRegardsPaul Gollnick :-cool Technical Operations/Customer Operational SupportPrecision Manuals Development Groupwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/priv/img/forum/sig_pmdg.jpg Paul Gollnick Manager Customer/Technical Support Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
January 25, 200818 yr Author Thanks Paul I have sent you an email.Bruceb Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
January 28, 200818 yr Author Well thanks to Paul Gollnick's assistance in providing access to fresh installers for both the FS9 and FSX versions this problem has been solved. First impressions are that with the FSX unifier the FS9 PMDG 747 has improved fps and smoother panning in the VC quite apart from the many less visible changes so I am glad I persevered with this.
