February 6, 200818 yr The Packs sound is drowning out all the other sounds, I can even hear them loudly in outside views. This just started happening lately but I don't know what I did that changed it or if one of my many blue screen of death crashes might have corrupted some sound file.Any Ideas? Jeff P.
February 6, 200818 yr Nevermind. After loading the cargo hauler I am back to normal. Might have been a corrupt previous panel state file.
February 6, 200818 yr Dear Jeff,Some soundcards exhibit this behaviour - there are a couple of workrounds.1) To avoid this scenario make sure that FSX is the window in focus while the 747 is loading / initialising to the gate - ie don't switch to other windows / applications while the aircraft loads.2) If you experience this issue again it can be resolved by pressing the "Q" button twice - this will turn off and reset the sound levels to correct levels.ArmenArmen L Cholakianhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/priv/img/forum/sig_pmdg.jpg Armen L CholakianPMDG Sound Engineer
February 6, 200818 yr Ohhh! That's what's happening.I have been doing some tests with Pete's FSUIPC betas, so I starting FSX and because it takes soooo long I then start ASX which takes sooo long so I start FSBuild... anyway, you get the picture. I noticed the loud airpacks but the sound returned to normal when focus changed to a different app then I returned. Wondered about it but too many other things to chase right now. Thanks a bunch, Armen. Dan Downs KCRP
February 6, 200818 yr Thanks. A lot of times I forget to load my TrackIR software first so I start FSX then load TrackIR while FSX is still loading. Won't be doing that anymore.Another question regarding loading, a lot of times, if I am running my Firefox browser and then start FSX and try to run the PMDG 747, after a short time, the FSX sound will freeze up for a split second then crash and force a reboot of the computer. This only seems to happen with Firefox running, and only with the PMDG 747. Sometimes it doesn't crash, but seems to most of the time.Jeff P.
February 7, 200818 yr No worries guys,Jeff, I have no idea about your second issue - I don't think it is related to the sounds though.Armen L Cholakianhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/priv/img/forum/sig_pmdg.jpg Armen L CholakianPMDG Sound Engineer
