August 4, 200817 yr HelloI've had all the boeing variants for quite a while, but over the lastfew months I have been getting this problem:After sometime everything working OK suddenly when trying to loadthe 737NG (in FS9) I get a fatal error relating to PMDG options gauge. The only way to sort the problem is to uninstall and reinstall thefull range of boeing aircraft. As you can imagine this is a pain, specially when taking part on a VATSIM organised event and usuallymeans abandoning it as it takes quite a while to install and carryout 2 or 3 reboots to get everything working again. It also appears that this has begun to happen ever since I purchased and installed the 747 FSX version which itself carries out some upgrades to the 747 version.Would be interested to know if other users have been experiencing this problem or know what may be its cause. At no time have I ever alteredor removed any PMDG files from their relevant directories. Thanks in advance. August 4, 200817 yr The pmdgoptions.dll in FS9 is shared by the 737 and 747, and the 747 must be installed after the 737. Nothing in the FSX version, that I am aware of, should affect FS9 unless you install the FS9 update version. There has not been a rash of problems loading the 737 in FS9, in fact very few that I can recall. I am running both FS9 and FSX PMDG simulations and have not had problems except for a FS9 keyboard assignment issue that was minor and easy to fix.Are things working okay for you now, after the reinstall of everything? I assume you used the installers to remove the files and registry entries before reinstalling. Dan Downs KCRP
August 4, 200817 yr Author DanThank you for your reply.I have fresh installed the 737 followed by the 747 versions, followedby the 747 update for FS9 which is part of the 747FSX. All is workingwell. I used same procedure last time I had this problem. I'm just going to keep an eye on this and see what happens.Regards Joaquin Blanco Intel Core i9-9900K at 5Ghz, Corsair Hydro H100i RGB PLATINUM CPU cooler, Asus ROG STRIX Z390-E,Motherboard, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super 8GB GDDR6, G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB DDR4 3200MHz Memory, 500GB Samsung 970 EVO PLUS M.2 PCIe,2TB Samsung 860 QVO Solid State Drive, 2TB, 2 x Samsung 860 Evo 2TB, 1 x 1TB Samsung 860 Evo, Corsair RM650x 80 PLUS Gold 650W PSU.
