Gauges freezing?

Featured Replies

I have the PMDG 737, and i LOVE it, but the glass gauges- PFD, MFD, and EICAS have a tendancy to sort of "freeze up". the only way to fix this is to switch views. How can i fix this, if i can?Sam

I assume you mean the VC views, which is a problem experienced in all simulations to a degree. Even the 747X will do it. There is no fix that I am aware of.However, I've flown the 737 quite a bit and never noticed it to be a significant problem. Maybe a description of exactly what happens when what is done would help to compare with other's experiences.

no, its in the 2D.Sam

I've never experienced that (a frozen 2D).. Sam, what is an example of something that you do that will freeze the displays? Everytime? There's bound to be a reason... they shouldn't do that.

generally seems to be happening when opening a window, particularly the FMC or overhead. BTW, i open all my windows using SHIFT + 1, 2, 3, ....Sam

Sam,If you are using the 2D panel, try switching using the PMDG Panel switcher as outlined in the manuals. That should help significantly.RegardsPaul Gollnick :-cool Technical Operations/Customer Operational SupportPrecision Manuals Development Groupwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/priv/img/forum/sig_pmdg.jpg
