September 24, 200817 yr Hi, I would like to ask a question I keep putting off about the freighter version of the plane. It is not an answer I expect,I am not really worried to much but would still be nice to know though. If a virtual cabin is available, will one be on the MD-11F model or just the pax version? Some Cabin shots would be cool, but I don't wanna take up but so much time away from finishing the bird as I am sure no one else does.I am still hoping it will be released near my Bday, a dream I know but I am allowed to dream. The Almighty Bruce said sometimes the anticipation heightens the pleasureThank YouCapt. September 24, 200817 yr Author Just wait until you hear the FS2Crew ground calls in Orstraaaahleeaaa mate. They may sound suspiciously Koiwoi. Ha! ;-) Mark Adeane - NZWN
September 24, 200817 yr Author Robin,That was dome on and floods up about 50%, backlighting about 70% I think.I tend to set my variable lighting first, adjust the 6 displays to my liking, then flick on the dome light to do my preflight. Once we're pushed back and equipment is clear, I flick the taxi lights on, the dome off and away we go!One thing I'm pleased to report is that you have plenty of lighting options at your disposal in order to to avoid the dreaded 'shadow effect' in the VC when flying towards the sun. September 24, 200817 yr I got a question about the lights in the VC, does the cockpit lights like the panel lights work on a dim switch of are they not even existantThank YouCapt. Eric Wade Joneswww.usairwaysva.orghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/1900driver.jpg Eric Wade Jones
September 24, 200817 yr Commercial Member Eric,There is an emergency light, and a dome light. On top of that, the overhead has its own variable flood light, and its own variable backlighting. Similarly, the FCP panel (the glareshield, basically) has its own variable flood light, and its own variable backlighting. The Main Panel, Throttle Panel, and Radio panel all share independantly controlled variable flood lighting and backlighting as well.Best,http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/for...er_MD11_Vin.jpg Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
