ServInfo Gauge.. WOW...

Featured Replies

New version of Servinfo is out with a new feature.A gauge which can easily be installed on your favorite aircraft panel - you can use this to browse what controllers are online and (sit down) change to their freq both with com1 and roger wilco.Easy to install...http://www.eleventhstreet.com/images/si.jpgIan Elchitz

Oops - Just realized that I made a post with a screen shot form the Airbus.I can not say that I have found the perfect place for this gauge - but it works for me - now all we have to do is get the TCAS gauge set up and running and we are in business .http://www.eleventhstreet.com/images/si2.jpgIan.

Can you tell us what numbers you used to get the icon at that location?

The secret is out. Ian's favorite panel is the PSS Airbus. He pretty much said that in his first post!;-)Lee Hetherington (KBOS)

LMAO...Actually I am currently spending most of my time in my Cessna 421C Gold Eagle, but I *have* been enjoying flying the PSS Airbus.PIC is still #1 .Eric - I used the following:gauge30=servinfo!toggle,571,161,32,23---------------I have been playing with a TCAS gauge that works perfectly in the PIC panel - only it appears to be much harder to place everything properly on the screen. Basically there is an ICON to turn the TCAS on which I would place just underneath the ServInfo tolggle switch - but ...I am rambling - we need some guys on this to see if they can get the multiplayer TCAS working and positioned properly on the PIC panel (perhaps even a background color change).I do not know anything about panels and gauges and panel.cfg files - I just hack and slash my way through them....Search AVSIM for tcas-panel.zipIan Elchitz CYWGZLA ARTCC

Oh boy, I'd never even thought of doing this, but it's a great idea, kudos to the Servinfo team!!!Ian, could you post the exact CFG mods you made to put it in both PIC and the Airbus??Ryan

The new version of ServInfo has a utility called "sigi.exe" that allows you to drag and drop the gauge and toggle switch where you want it. I do not know jack about gauges - and I was able to make it work.. have a look and see if you can figure it out - if I have posted the cfg I used . Note that a few of the windows on my cfg are not for servinfo or standard PIC767 but for the MFS-M7 TCAS.--------------[Window Titles]window00=Boeing 767 Upper Panelwindow01=Boeing 767 Main Ran into a bit of a snag here, I tried to put the toggle switch up on the glareshield to the left of the Master Warn light, but it's invisible in the game - I can click on it and it brings up the big servinfo window, but it's not visible itself. Having that green light there to tell you when ATC is within range of you is one of the coolest features of this IMO, anyone know why it's not showing up?Here's my CFG:[Window Titles]window00=Boeing 767 Upper Panelwindow01=Boeing 767 Main Panelwindow02=Boeing 767 Standby Instrumentswindow03=Boeing 767 Overheadwindow04=Boeing 767 Pedestalwindow05=Boeing 767 FMCwindow06=Boeing 767 Side auxillary PanelWindow07=ServInfoFixed Window30=L2_windowFixed Window31=R3_windowFixed Window32=R2_windowFixed Window33=R1_windowFixed Window34=L3_windowFixed Window35=L1_windowFixed Window36=rear_view[Views]VIEW_LEFT_WINDOWS=30VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_WINDOWS=31VIEW_RIGHT_WINDOWS=32VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_WINDOWS=33VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_WINDOWS=34VIEW_REAR_LEFT_WINDOWS=35VIEW_REAR_WINDOWS=36VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=3.5, 0.0, 0.0VIEW_LEFT_DIR=2.0, 0.0, 270VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_DIR=1.0, 0.0, 45VIEW_RIGHT_DIR=2.0, 0.0, 90VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_DIR=2.0, 0.0, 135VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_DIR=2.0, 0.0, 315VIEW_REAR_LEFT_DIR=2.0, 0.0, 225VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=0VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_ZOOM=1.3[Window00]file=B767Wupper.bmpsize_mm=1280, 410position=0visible=1ident=0gauge00=B767Woh, 816, 0, 441[Window01]file=B767Wforward.bmpsize_mm=1280, 680position=6visible=1ident=1gauge00=B767WAfds!MCP, 733, 15gauge01=B767WAfds!SMC, 824, 180gauge02=B767WAfds!Nav1, 537, 24gauge03=B767WAfds!Autoland, 620, 163gauge04=B767WAfds!MasterSwitch, 485, 37gauge05=B767WAfds!RadarAltimeter, 561, 255gauge06=B767WAfds!AltAlert, 722, 250gauge07=B767WAfds!InstrSelect, 0, 398gauge08=B767WAfds!GASwitch, 1080, 631gauge09=B767WAfds!Gear, 1179, 224gauge10=B767WAfds!Autobrakes, 769, 518gauge11=B767WAfds!OMI, 703, 403gauge12=B767Wlight, 0,0gauge13=B767Wairspeed, 92, 224, 168gauge14=B767Wvsi, 556, 406, 136gauge15=B767Waltimeter, 607, 245, 148gauge16=B767Wrmi, 103, 414, 158gauge17=B767Weadi, 291, 172, 221gauge18=B767Wecu, 700, 601, 197gauge19=B767Wehsi, 289, 408, 227gauge20=B767Wclock, 553, 550, 138gauge21=B767Weicas, 934, 180, 225gauge22=B767Wleicas, 934, 409, 225gauge23=B767Weng, 753, 384gauge24=B767Woilw, 790, 498, 95gauge25=B767Wesw, 925, 629, 150gauge26=B767Wgpws, 760, 239, 150gauge27=B767Wtrp, 1178, 163gauge28=767FMC!FMS, 754, 216, 300gauge29=767FMC!XNAV, 0, 600, 300gauge30=servinfo!toggle,396,42,51,36[Window02]file=B767Wstandby.bmpsize_mm=911position=6visible=0ident=40gauge00=B767Wstby, 757, 0, 154[Window03]file=B767Woverhead.bmpsize_mm=880position=3visible=0ident=41gauge00=B767WOverhead!Hydraulics, 0, 0, 220gauge01=B767WOverhead!Electrics, 220, 4, 220gauge02=B767WOverhead!Fuel, 440, 4, 220gauge03=B767WOverhead!Pneumatics, 660, 1, 220[Window04]file=B767Wpedestal.bmpsize_mm=558position=4visible=0ident=45gauge00=B767Wpedestal!EngineBlock, 0, 0gauge01=B767Wpedestal!Fire, 203, 497gauge02=B767Wpedestal!AltGear, 434, 596gauge03=B767Wpedestal!Test, 365, 715gauge04=B767Wpedestal!Trims, 204, 674gauge05=B767Wradio, 9, 499, 193gauge06=B767Wxpdr, 205, 586[Window05]file=B767Wfmc.bmpsize_mm=370position=8visible=0ident=51gauge00=767FMC!CDU,52,31,260gauge01=767FMC!Keyboard,0,0,370[Window06]file=B767Wauxillary.bmpsize_mm=179position=7visible=0ident=62gauge02=B767Wpedestal!ControlValves,0,0[Window07]BACKGROUND_COLOR=0,0,0size_mm=321,401window_pos=0.69,0.36visible=0ident=12777gauge00=servinfo!list,0,0,321,401[Fixed Window30]file=B767W_L2window.bmpvisible=0nomenu=1render_3d_window=0window_pos=0.0,0.0window_size=1.000,1.000ident=30[Fixed Window31]file=B767W_R3window.bmpvisible=0nomenu=1render_3d_window=0window_pos=0.0,0.0window_size=1.000,1.000ident=31[Fixed Window32]file=B767W_R2window.bmpvisible=0nomenu=1render_3d_window=0window_pos=0.0,0.0window_size=1.000,1.000ident=32[Fixed Window33]file=B767W_R1window.bmpvisible=0nomenu=1render_3d_window=0window_pos=0.0,0.0window_size=1.000,1.000ident=33[Fixed Window34]file=B767W_L3window.bmpvisible=0nomenu=1render_3d_window=0window_pos=0.0,0.0window_size=1.000,1.000ident=34[Fixed Window35]file=B767W_L1window.bmpvisible=0nomenu=1render_3d_window=0window_pos=0.0,0.0window_size=1.000,1.000ident=35[Fixed Window36]file=B767W_rearview.bmpvisible=0nomenu=1render_3d_window=0window_pos=0.0,0.0window_size=1.000,1.000ident=36[Default View]X=0Y=0SIZE_X=8191SIZE_Y=2500Thanks,Ryan

I am having the same 'problem' with the Servinfo gauge toggle switch. It's invisible on the PIC767 panel. Seems to work great on other panels though. Any ideas?Ryan-Flightpro08 :-coolTaxiwaysigns.com

I noticed there was a panel.cfg on one of the posts above that has TCAS gauge in it. Does it work? I pasted in the servinfo gauge into PIC767 using sigi.exe worked pretty well positioning it, just got to fit a place for it. Think I might put it next to the FMC and pedastel on my second monitor.Lobaeux

RyanI have the same problem except that the lights on the toggle show up if the panel lights are turned off. I only tried this at night so don't know what it'll do in the daylight. Also I noticed that there is going to be problems getting the data to load without going back to the main servinfo screen to select Load these outdated data anyway, when as always the data is 6 or 7 minutes old. 99% of the time I click the vatsim icon to load the data I get the data old box and have to select Load autdated data anyway. I tested it in the PIC panel and it wouldn't clear the data requested from the guage untill I went back to the servinfo main screen and selected load outdated data anyway. then went back to FS and the data was updated in the Guage. If anyone knows a way around this, I'd like to know about it.AAL214

AAL214,If the message you get in ServInfo is always about data being 6-7 minutes old, then either your computer's clock is running fast or the data server's clock is running slow. You can adjust your computer's clock, or from ServInfo at the "options->connection parameters" menu change the warning trigger time (at bottom-left) to 10 minutes or more. Michael

What a traitor....he should be expelled.Burn plastic, burn!!!!!!!!!

Just saw this reply by Michael Frantzeskakis - the ServInfo author...---------(edit) and then remembered that Michael in all of his wisdom reads the PIC767 forum board - guys this installation is as about as idiot proofed as it gets.--------------"Michael Frantzeskakis" wrote in message on 7/10/2002:The ServInfo gauge has been tested on the DreamFleet 737 and it works. I don't know what your problem is, but here are two possible causes and solutions:1. (the obvious) you have not enabled the gauge communication from Servinfo "Options->Gauge settings" menu2. On some more complex panels like DF, the PSS airbus and PIC the ServInfo toggle button might not display. It is there (if you position the cursor at it's location it will be turned to a "handpoint" and if you press the display gauge will show - and the green/yellow indicators will show when active) but it might be obstructed being on a lower layer. Usually turning on and off (or off and on and off) the panel lights (pressing "L") will bring the toggle gauge again on top. I also think that it will not show at all on Bill Grabowski's excellent ERJ145 panel when the floodlight is on.Michael---------------------------------Hope that helps,Ian.
