Why do you want the 757? It would be the same panel as the 767. Yes it might have virtual cockpit and another thing or two but I would like to see something else for now. Maybe for FS2k4 they can do a 757 to bring back the great panel etc. But for now give us something else. Aaron.

I agree. The chance that it will be 757 are very poor indeed - primarily because of marketing reasons. Releasing aircraft with the same panel/systems makes no sense at all. It may have appeal to some die-hard 757 fans but that's all. I bet their next project is vastly different. It is not even a "heavy". Michael J.

It's not the panel...Yes, the panel is exactly the same, apart from a few things and small changes...BUT, P.I.C. is NOT only panel! It's the complete aircraft!The airfile and flight dynamics of the 763 are very close to real, FS permitting! Even with the POSKY 763 for the visual model (the original PIC visuals are below average) and better fps, we still use the original PIC flight model!And it ROCKS!Now, imagine a few changes to the panel and a complete new and CORRECT flight dynamics for a beautyfull 757.. huh?... Yeah !!The 757 would REALLY be something. Imagine this:ALL the good stuff that PIC767 brought us PLUS some more.. i.e. better graphics, more complex systems (can it get any better??), and the best of all, ACCURATE flight dynamics ! They say the 757 is like a rocket when it's not all packed up. Also as the type rating is common in 767/757, the pilots say that after flying the 767, the controls of a 757 feel like they have jammed or something... a very different kind of bird to handfly, although it looks almost the same. I think that with the enormous talent of the PIC team, they should concentrate on the thing they know best, and at the moment I would dare to say that the 767 (757) would be THE bird to develop even further. I think many of us hardcore simmers would appreciate that. Think of the opposite, like PSS, jumping from GA to heavies and to military stuff etc. etc. Does the quality suffer with that kind of philosophy.. well imo YES. Although I like PSS a/c they're nowhere near the PIC quality. Same goes for the DF stuff, I'm afraid.. But hey, we're all different :). I'm glad that the others exist though.. competition never hurt anyone (yeah sure :))cheers,Tero

I agree, likely it won't be a 757...although I had a dream about a PIC757 package...not just a PIC767 panel with a new air file and 757 visual, but....A PIC757 complete "Package" with additions to the PIC767 panel such as...- A 757 load editor similar to PSS and DF737 style.- Wind data into the FMC to create a true VNAV "formula".- Pressurization effects and instrumentation...so I can finally sim that depressurized landing at La Paz ;-)- Multiple liveries c/o POSKY-GMAX avec pure PIC dynamics.- Optional Rolls and PW engine instrumentation, air files, and sounds.- Optional layout configurations - cargo/PAX, with station loading, CG calculations required, etc, etc.- Optional PF-PNF call outs and auto-PNF options (to assist my VATSIM hand flying time).- Internal views similar to DF737- Cabin crew announcements similar to DF737...especially the crew call button for coffee to the flightdeck, the girlfreind really hates it ;-)- Quick change Landing view/Takeoff view or virtual cockpit view, whatever you want to call it.- Functional cargo/PAX doors, emergency slides, engine fires, and visuals to correspond with the PIC emergencies.......and this is just the tip of the iceberg...point is...PIC757 would be a lot more than just a re-hash of a 767, there is a lot more that could be "value-added" to a PIC757 package that would justify the design, pridcution, and marketing effort required for such a project.After my dream, I woke up and realised that we will likely see a regional turboprop (Saab) or maybe another heavy (DC-10 old style) as I think Eric's Dad used to fly them.Whatever it is, it will be great and I for one can't wait.Rob.AKA - total PIC snob, everythin else is below me ;-)

nexttime make it in frontpage, then use the HTML coding, copy it into word and change all "<"'s in to the RIGHT OPEN BRACKET and the ">"'s into LEFT OPEN BRACKET, then select all and copy it into the forumthen it'll maintain that layout

Put it this way...I'd pay 3 times as much just to see a 757 mode, air file, 757 FMC and EICAS with the PIC panel..yes..
