HiI've got a problem with the PIC panel in that it keeps makeing fs pause for a few seconds. The frame rate indicator doesn't change, just the whole thing locks for about five seconds every minute or so. It happens with PIC/Posky merge and with Mike Ts 757/PIC combo.Anyone got any idaes how to cure this?Cheers

It also happens with the standard Pic model and turnng all the scenery settings down doesn't make any difference.Anyone, please???

Delete your fs2002.cfg file from the main FS2002 folder. The next time FS starts it'll write a new one and hopefully your problem should be fixed!

I had this too and even deleting the fs2002 cfg file did not helpWhat system do u use?I changed from WinME to XP and that did it! Now every porb is gone and the 767PIC as smooth as ever

Does it happen during the entire flight, or just during certain phases, i.e. landing and take-off? If so, it could be sound-related. The PIC sounds require a lot of memory and a good sound card. You could try replacing the PIC 'sound.cfg' with that of the default 777 (which aliases the 737 sounds). Cheers,Gosta.

HiI've had this same problem for quite a while now, and been trying almost everything in order to get rid of this annoying pause every minute or so.Never did I think of one second that it might be the auto-save module before I saw this post. Now this module has been banned forever from my system. This is why this kind of forum is so helpful.Thx

HiI've kept the autosave installed but altered the cfg settings so it only saves every 10 mins. I can handle a quick pause every 10 mins, I cannot handle losing a six hour flight!

What's an autosave? an OS function? a FS utility?Pat

Hi PatIts a utility by Pete Dowson that automatically saves your flight every minute, so if you have a lock up you can resume from where you left off. Like I say you can configure it to save at your own preference. Its available from www.schiratti.comPaul

Very interesting...I have recently noticed these damned pauses and yes, they are a little annoying. I did not even think that it had something to do with autosave.I suppose resetting it to save every 10-30 minutes would do the trick.Autosave is great - has saved me from breaking my hand and my monitor many times in the past. The one thing that I do find annoying is that if you do something stupid that resets your simulator (like CRASH) the SIM resets back to the previously saved file from autosave - when all I want it to do is put me back to where I started. The embarassment of crashing is enough - let alone having to disconnect because I am about to all of a sudden pop up in the middle of someone's radar scope where I wasn't a second earlier.Of course I do not have to worry about this too often :-roll.Any ideas, and thanks to whoever posted the fix for the slight pause.Ian Elchitz CYWG

Thanks Paul. Never enabled that function. Pat

IanI think this is because you have Detect crash and reset selected in FS.Paul
