November 20, 200223 yr Hi can anyone tell me how to get rid of the "Entry Doors" message on the EICAS. I have been through the checklist and I don't think that I have missed anything it seems as though the PAX are taking forever to board or the ground crew to load. What do I have to do to get rid of this message so that the doors close ? I can't find anything in the manual. Thanks a lot and happy landings!!BARGE
November 20, 200223 yr Entry door message? Anyone else have this message? Cuz I sure don't. I've started with all systems cold and can't get the message to show on either the upper or lower EICAS. You sure you're getting the message on 767 PIC or are you using another product?Regards,Dan Zollnerhttp://jdtllc.com/images/RCsupporter.jpg
November 20, 200223 yr I am definately using 767 PIC and I have two messages on the EICAS. One is the park brake which is fine because I haven't pushed back yet and the second is the "Entry Doors" which is a problem. Thanks againBARGE
November 20, 200223 yr Are you using the original AIRCRAFT.CFG and FDE's that came with PIC or another 3rd party aircraft?
November 20, 200223 yr entry doors??? man i wish i had that message! never experienced that with pic... Denis Kosbeck KPHX
November 21, 200223 yr Hi Guys,Thanks for all your responses but I have solved the problem. It seems that if you press Shift E in Flight Simulator 2002 it opens and closes the doors. I found this out by looking up the index in the help section of FS2002. So I pressed Shift E and amazingly the EICAS message dissappeared and I was on my way. Try it for yourselves. It works.RegardsBarge
November 21, 200223 yr Well dip me in sh*t and roll me in crackers. I had no idea they incorporated that into the EICAS. I started looking around for other treats too. I found one......the APU intake opens when I start the APU and closes when I shut it down. I used to only be able to control it by using the CTRL-SHIFT-V and CTRL-SHIFT-C commands, but now it does it on it's own. BTW, this is using PIC with POSKY's v3. I don't know how it got to be that way, but it sure is working. The only thing I can think of is that I downloaded and installed that extra patch at the Wilco website. It had no adverse effects on my PIC installation as others have reported. I'm not saying that is what did it, but it's the only thing I can think of. Wonder if there are any other treats that we have missed.Regards,Dan Zollnerhttp://jdtllc.com/images/RCsupporter.jpg
November 21, 200223 yr I tried but could not get the Cabin Doors EIACS warning to light up when opening/closing the doors. I tried it with engines on and off, parking brake on/off....what magical sequence of events did you use to make this happen? Were you using the POSKY AIR and config file? Please could you post a screenshot of this for us non-beleivers.Rob.
November 21, 200223 yr Affirmative StratusF, no visual of the doors opening in POSKY 767.Although when you hit shift-E in the PIC/POSKY 767 panel, there is an FS2k2 message saying exit door opening or something to that affect, but NO EIACS message like what was claimed in this thread.Waiting on the screenshot, 'cus I tried everything and could not get the EIACS to give me a cabin door warning. I am using a 767 POSKY v3 with the Lee merge and PIC 767 panel. I wonder what our freind with the EIACS message is using?Rob.
November 21, 200223 yr Hi Rob,These things are part of a few hidden goodies built into the last PIC patch (the one for use with third-party hardwares) At least 2 are no more hidden :-lolRegards,Laurent Crenier_____________________________767PIC Panel co-designer
November 21, 200223 yr Hi Laurent...I am confused..as always ;-)Should I install the last PIC patch for 3rd party hardware even though I do not have any 3rd party hardware except for MSFS FF stick? Will I get added functionality (EIACS warnings) with the final patch? Will the patch affect the normal operation of the PIC with the existing set up that I have?So many questions, sorry Laurent, maybe you can spell it out for me.Thanks!Rob.
November 21, 200223 yr The last patch should not cause problem although some have reported rudder problems that seem fixed with the last FSUIPC version.Regards,_____________________________767PIC Panel co-designer
