Details on the return trip please. We just may give the happy couple a virtual escort home

It's a 0900z departure time Jan 2nd, terminal 3, EGLL-CYYZ, expected arrival at CYYZ is 12:15 EST (1715z). Looks like a rainy day again tomorrow, winds from the west, so expecting 27l/r departure. Now that I have been told that NAT Tracks are "optional" who knows where I will cross the pond. For sure it will be a Simco2 arrival into CYYZ from the north/east is about all I can say. I'll look for the VATSIM call signs out of the window ;-)It's been a great time over the last 10 days, but I can not tell you how much I am missing my PIC767...broke out in a cold sweat with mixed outbursts of rage last night....a few pints settled me down. Drove by John Lennon (Liverpool) airport this morning, then past East Midlands and Heathrow on the way home. Where I am staying in London is on one of the SID's, seen a lot of 767's buzzing over, making me very very home sick.I see there is a new VFR view to play with among other things. You know what I will be doing the minute I get in the door at home...probably fly the route while I unpack, then go hunting for the usual suspects. Preparing a list of questions for the ACA869 767-300er crew now.Until tomorrow,Tally Ho!Rob.

Rob, be careful not to grill the crew too hard. ;-)

Rob & everyone. Was really bored today so I made up a flightplan that possibly resembles the one you're gonna fly tomorrow. Should be very possible to feed it into the dispatch spreadsheet and get a nice flightplan out - this flight is just long enough to be a great way to spend a rainy sunday afternoon :-) NAT filed according tomorrow's routings - they're valid from 1130. So anyway, here you go:FLIGHT AC869/02JAN(FPL-ACA869-IS-B763/H-SRWXY/S-EGLL0900-N0480F340 CPT UG1 SHA UN535 BURAK UN533 DOGAL TRAKD 5350N/N0480F350 TRAKD YAY N188B YRI DCT YMX J546 YSO.SIMCO1 CYYZ-CYYZ1715 KDTWD DOGAL 55/20 56/30 55/40 53/50 YAYEAST LVLS NILWEST LVLS 310 320 330 340 350 360 370 380 390EUR RTS WEST BURAKNAR N180B N188B N192CPossible enroute alternatives should a PIC failure show up are Shannon Ireland, Keflavik Iceland and...Gander Canada.

I'm impressed! That route is almost exact on based on the route that was filed with center.Did you plan that with best winds or was that a best NAT route?

Here's a pic from the flight tracker

Hey,That's kinda cool :-lol I took a look at the available tracks and saw that C or D would be appropriate - I did look at the wx chart to see if there would be any significant advantage with either but in the end I settled for the more southern route as it allowed for the CPT SID instead of tracking up towards Manchester. It's exciting to see I almost got it right, though - considering that the airlines have super-expensive software to do what I did with an Internet connection and twenty minutes of spare time. :-)By the way, any chance to see the real FPL?

Notice the ZFW :- This is fairly close to the simulated ZFW in PIC, and is generally around the average for a transatlantic flight.Out of EGPF, AC take around 39 - 41 t of fuel, normally slightly less if 1 of the -300's come in, as the -200 is a gas guzzler. Also, the flight time is 1 hour less from Gla than from LHR.Rob,if there are any kids in the future, what ever you do -DO NOT NAME THEM TADEX or MIMKU. That would be terrible.:-lolCongratsMark

Hilarious! - thanks Mark....I kinda like the name Mimku for a girl, Tadex for a boy ;-)Headwinds were light until we hit mainland Canada...what a day it's been ;-)Flying the route on VATSIM as I type...still on zulu time on my head...been awake about 20 hours at this point.Tally Ho!Rob
