Guys, my iFDG Gmax 757 (Transavia) will be out shortly and I have recreated the entire FDE for it. I spent countless hours on it and have it near perfect as much as I can, based on my QRH and own experience. It will feature:- accurate climb performance from SL to FL420 at all weights- accurate descent performance from FL420 to SL at all weights- accurate speedbrake characteristics- accurate acceleration and deceleration rates- idle thrust taxi at low weights and thrust required at higher weights, just like the real thing- accurate fuel flows for the entire flight regime except taxi (impossible for me to modify but oh well)She flies a very steady approach, even manual and single engine. For the first time, she's hard to slow down during the approach so it requires descent planning Plus, she integrates perfectly into 767PIC, although fuel flow figures by the FMC are incorrect, it just goes with the territory. Entering ZFW = 130t (metric) will give you spot on performance figures, VNAV data and ref speeds. As far as I know, all new versions of the iFDG 757 model will be supplied with my .air file.Enjoy!Iz

Sounds promissing...I'll sure give it a try. Have I mentioned that the 757 is my favorite aircraft? :-)Everything I tried so far fly more like a Tomcat istof an airliner...George DorkofikisAthens, Greece

I'm F/O, Randy. Yes even though she's probably the most overpowered airliner of Western origin, it's still no Tomcat. Although an empty flight with just 10 tonnes of fuel is very interesting :) My record is 0 to FL390 in 13 minutes from brake release, so it includes the takeoff roll. It also featured an intermediate level off, was done with max takeoff thrust reduction (58 degrees C assumed temperature) and climb-1 reduction all the way, from Barcelona to Amsterdam. But when you're heavy, say above 105t metric (115t being mtow), she'll struggle once you get to FL320 thereabouts.Iz

Iz,I'm also looking forward to you're new FDE, as it sounds like exactly what we need. One quick question for you. Do you have a way of determining how much fuel is need for each flight with it? Somebody get a United livery out and I'll be in absolute extacy! Finally get to fly into some smaller airports... (ehem.. can you say John Wayne??? :-)) Thanks for all your work Iz... you're a shining example to all flightsim developers!Sincerely,Phil Geddes

Jamie (and others!)The link above is NOT the FDE made by Iz who started this thread.I just downloaded it, and it is Twilky's FDE, which at least a while ago was not very accurate with respect to numbers and behaviour.I would wait for the FDE created by Iz, as it should be pretty accurate :).regards,Teroedit: btw, not to disrespect Tim Wilky's effort at all, just correcting the probable misconception...
